Greetings, I'm 3 days away from getting my bowflex. Its a used one from my girlfriends mom and we are pretty sure she doesnt have (or at least cant find) any of the original paperwork or anything that came w/ it. Im looking to get some kind of info on the 6 week challenge. Doc if your reading this I saw that you have a bowflex and tried this and it worked well for you. Im sick of looking the way I look and want to drop some serious weight. I'm 5' 08" and weigh around 250. The bowflex looks like lots of fun and plan on using that and starting tae bo to fill in the off days from "lifting". I eat pretty healthy now (wasnt always like that hence the 250 pounds!) and I've seen a 15 pound loss just from changing my eating habits. Hearing people say I'm looking good from that little loss is a nice thing to hear but I still hate looking in the mirror and seeing my gut and man boobs..they must go! If anyone has any info on or can at least point me in the right direction to find some paperwork/info on the 6 week challenge, I thank you in advance.

The BowFlex challenge works great! :) However, it is tough. You have to follow a very low-cal diet, drink LOTS of water and exercise [b:cafff9ad59]at least [/b:cafff9ad59]3x a week for 20-30 minutes. I recently gained some weight, much to my chagrin. And I noticed that I was allowing three things to occur: [list=1:cafff9ad59][*:cafff9ad59]I wasn't working out long enough. I'd do some stomach, chest or arm reps, and from time to time, legs and back. But I wasn't exercising like I did when I lost weight. Therefore, make sure you keep exercising every other day for 20-30 minutes. If you can do more, great, but at least do that much. [*:cafff9ad59] I was allowing foods like pizza and even some candy and peanut butter back into my diet. A slice of pizza or a mini-pizza is one thing, but more than that is out. So watch out for those fattening foods. Even though I wasn't eating Big Macs and other "garbage", clearly I was eating enough bad foods to put on a few pounds. [*:cafff9ad59] Keep the calories low. This is probably my biggest problem. The fact that I only put on a few pounds indicates that I am still doing O.K. overall, but clearly I need to eat less. Once we reach our goal weight, we might be able to increase calories provided we work out a lot. But until then, calories MUST be low (1000-1500).[/list:o:cafff9ad59] One nice thing about this 6-week Challenge is that you can keep doing it. I did it for about 12 weeks last year and it helped me on my way to losing 50 pounds! So I'm going to resume it - starting today! I ate well yesterday (i.e., only healthy foods and watched the caloric intake) but didn't exercise. Starting today, it's back to exercising and the low-cal diet. I turn 40 in July and gosh darn it, I want to be in my 230's then! I have about 6 weeks until my b-day, so it's perfect time to see if I can drop 20 pounds on the 6-week Challenge. Good luck to both of us! Maybe we can keep each other inspired! :D

How do you like your bowflex? Did you get it on time?
