Hiya, everyone. This is an idea I got from my sister. She calls it a "chub club", and i may be starting one soon. But anyways, what her and several of her coworkers did was everyone put in five dollars to start. They weigh in once a week (same day, same time) and see if they gained, lost or maintained. If they gained, they pay $2.00 a pound they gained. If they lost, they paid nothing. If they maintained, they paid a dollar. The cool part about it, though, is after a certain amount of time, the person who lost the largest part of their body percentage gets all the money. I am altering it for three prizes, split up 50-33-17 percent... Anyways, just an idea that i'm starting soon. I'll let ya know how it goes when I get it going. I know that my sister started sometime in March and has lost 20+ lbs... Money is great motivation. :P ~val

Ok, I tried this with a few of my friends and we are all losing! We are very encouraging of each other and our pot remained $15. So my word of advice is try to include some people in your pool that you are rooting against, so they can fail and pay the pot (to your benefit when you win!) For this activity, co workers are better than real friends. I wonder if bringing brownies and cookies to work is considered cheating? Hmmmm Jen
