Has anyone heard of this "Eat fat, Get thin" book written by Dr Barry Groves? It another low card diet plan. I just found out about and was wondering if anyone else knew anything about it.

Never heard of it. I dont think that i will try it with a title like Eat fat get thin. It does not sound all that healthy to me. I honestly never thought that low carb was a good thing anyway. [u:c346dc004d][b:c346dc004d][color=red:c346dc004d]Kiara[/color:c346dc004d][/b:c346dc004d][/u:c346dc004d]

I want to try another approach to dieting. My basic weight loss plan has always been low cal, low fat. It worked, but not for long. And here I am bigger then I’ve ever been before. I did try Atkins for two weeks recently but found to hard to imagine "the rest of my life" eat like that and got discouraged. "Eat Fat, Get Thin" says it not as strict as Akins but does use some of the same principles. Saying how insulin resistance is a big component of obesity. On the author’s web site, he talks about eating a lot of veggies and some fruits but says very, very limited starches and sugars. That’s why I was wondering if anyone tried it or even heard of it. It sounded a little more realistic then Atkins. The titled of his book sounds like you'll be eating butter and baccon, catchy!

They're all pretty much the same. Atkin's is strictest during the induction phase. After that you can get away with more. One of the most basic books on low carb diets says eat 72 or less grams a day of carbs. That should be relatively easy to accomplish.
