I have been eating about 750-800 calories per day since Monday, and I weighed 174 on Monday morning. I got up this Saturday morning, 5 days later, and I weighed 169. It was my goal to lose 5 pounds in the first week, considering that most of it was water and some protein, and I met my goal 2 days early. I am now hoping to be down near 160 by the end of the month. Low-calorie diets work! I can't say enough great things about them. Just make sure that you eat a fair amount of protein to make sure that you don't lose muscle instead of fat. :)

I have to say low cal diet has been working for me. I have been eating 800-1100 cals a day, plus 25 mins of exersize 4-5 days a week and have shed 16 pounds in the last 4 weeks. I have plenty more to lose (started at 225.... weighed in at 209 yesterday) but its really motivating and much easier then I thought. Like the first poster said, be sure to get your protien! otherwise you will lose muscle not fat :( And if you are really counting calories, you will find your self cutting out sugars and many refined carbs, as you really only have room for some lean protien, good for you fruits and vegis on your 800 cals. Oh and I have been taking trim spa. It helps me feel satified with my smaller meals, and cuts back my sweet cravings. Good luck to every one!! :mrgreen:


way to go. it's important though that you mix up your cals on different days so your body dosn't get use to it. also the lower you weight the more cals you will end up having to burn to continue to lose. my highest weight was 260 and i got down to 135 but after months of drinking every weekend and making unwise food choices i gained back 10 lbs. i would like to go on a 800 cal diet and 1200 cal diet depending on the days. also i will be staying lower carb, basically lots of veggies and leaner meats. what is you daily menu like?


Hey well done for losing 5lbs! I used to weigh 118lbs and in one week i lost weight bringing me to 112lbs. I only ate about 300-400 calories though and now it's addictive! Don't get like that! And make sure you exercise because then you can have more calories, more energy to exercise, so you wont make yourself ill like me. Keep it up love Camkel xxx


great job!! You are doing good yet I am conserned (SP) of your calorie intake bc it is below 900. I tried that once and it worked the first couple weeks but I began to get lightheaded and dizzy and that was bc I was not taking in enough calories. Maybe you could add in a fruit or two and increase the calorie intake to around 1000. but everyones body is different, just thought I would share. Good luck and keep up the good work!


Consuming less than 900 calories a day makes your body think it's starving so it goes into starvation 'mode'. Thus...storing fat. Kel
