Take 10-12 ears of fresh sweet corn or field corn. Shuck the corn, get as clean as possible and wash thoroughly. Take each ear of corn 1 at a time and using a very sharp knife, slice off just the TOPS of the kernals into a large skillet. When all kernals have been topped off, take your knife and using the side (of the knife), scrape the cob from end to end...getting all the kernal meat and juices into the skillet. Throw away the empty cobs and add 2 teaspoons of butter or margarine to the corn in the skillet. Add in one small slice of bacon and a dash of garlic powder, a dash of onion powder, salt and pepper to taste. Add enough water (1 to 2 cups) to make the contents a soupy consistency - shouldn't be too thick or too thin. Bring corn to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and stir frequently. Add in 1 tbsp Mrs. Dash original butter flavoring and stir in well. Allow to simmer for 20 minutes at medium heat, then reduce to low heat. Remove bacon at this time. If too thin, you may thicken with a little cornstarch or flour. Some like it thick, some soupy...but either way, it's delicious!!!

Thanks for that. It Sounds like that it is a nice almost "campfire" recipe.
