I have a problem with my abs: I have a hernia due to 2 c-sections and my muscles didn't heal properly, and I have a hard time doing sit ups. It hurts! Any ideas out there as to another way to try and flatten this tummy?

hey ann, i know that jogging is a great way of getting lean all over. swimming is also good for all the muscles. i dont know if jogging or swimming are your type of workout, but i did read about this one exercise where you lay kinda like you are going to do a push up (only your forearms and toes touching the floor) and then suck in your abs and hold it for 10 seconds. do a few reps a day. i hope i helped. :) April

This one is for your obliques. (The ab muscles along your side) If you have a broom (this is kinda old school method, but works) put it behind your head, on your sholders and twist slowly to your left take to center, then right. This will help to get your waistline back.. :)

hEY Ann, without hurting yourself the type of exercise dAISIES IS talking about is called a plank pose. that's very good for your abs, you should try any kind of ab workout on a stability ball it'll help you. your not on a floor and its all about balancing yourself out on the ball and doing a crunch or anything else you can do. You always want to do what you can do don't push yourself if you can't do something.

Thanks for your ideas, ladies! I'll have to give those a try. Right now, I do a lot of Yoga, which also de-stresses me from the day. Hmmm...I wonder if I can find my broom!! :D
