Another Challenge! The first Challenge was so well received, we are going to it again! First Prize: 50.00 Gift Card Second Prize: 25.00 Gift Card Third Prize: 25.00 Gift Card Same as before, just tell us what your goal is and what you are going to do to achieve it. And it's just in time to kick off the swimsuit season, so just another great reason to start ( or continue :) ) Then you'll need to return on Tuesday June 2, 2004 to let us know how you did. (We have allowed an extra day or two to check in because a few people mentioned busy schedules in the Easter Challenge.) Feel free to check in as often as you like in the meantime! Winners will be randomly selected on Wed. June 3, 2004. from all qualified participants. Looking forward to all of the great energy from our members here!

Awesome so let me go see how long that is and then i will decide on a weight loss . Alrighty then it's 6 or so weeks so i will weigh in at 161 at this time :D thanks for the extra time and please keep me updated lol i'm not good at that.I can't wait to weigh less than i have in a long long time :D the prizes are awesome too .

Welcome to the challenge BrandyMcK.. I will send everyone a newsletter to remind our members a couple of days prior to the close of it, so make sure you are subscribed! Glad that you like the prizes, maybe in some time we can make them even better? We'll see what happens  Glad to have you on board!

wow if i'm the only one who signs up for the challenge do i get all three prizes lol i'm the only one that has replied come on people at least one more so we can have a real challenge here lol ... :D

i'm in. 10 pounds for the holiday. i am going to keep adding time to my cardio workout (like i did in the first challenge) and resistance too. i can go for 45 minutes with the resistance up to a 6 now! so i have already been doing pretty good, i want to kick it to the next level.. ..you can't be the only one brandy! i think i'm going to win this time :)

see i knew i would get someones attention lol we can do this :D

Well I am in too...10 pounds for June....am going to classes at the gym for a change up in routine, boy my legs hurt!! No pain no gain, right!! Good luck everyone!!! Pegster :D

great to have some others. i think this is a great way to lose weight! :)

Welcome Brandy, nice to have you here. Excellent...A new challenge. My goal will be to lose 18 or more to bring me down to 275. I'm also going to try to increase my water to between 80-100 oz. Additionally, I'll be increasing my workout time from 5 to 6 days per week and from 30-50 minutes. I'm also hoping the will allow me to become more proficient on my taebo cardio workout. I'm still tripping over myself, but each time it gets a little easier. Good luck all

Thanks for welcoming me i was in the last challenge but didn't post too much maybe every week or so :D this time i'm going to post more.So anyways i am also taking my water up a few notches i am going from approx.100 oz to approx 170 oz. i can and will do this :D I put 6 pounds lost by this date because i don't want to discourage myself if i don't make it to the goal

I will join again. I Challange myself to lose 10 lbs by then. As of today i am at 191 so by Memorial day i Plan to be at 181. Good Luck Everyone. Kiara[/color:8147e925e1]

i'll try again. i have to hit the 270s again. that means i have to cut the crap and start eating better. this will be my 10th try in a row! i will lose 15 pounds by actually eating the things i know i should be eating and to continue working out like i have been! i won't goof off and head off to a restaurant like usual :P

i'm happy because the days are getting longer and soon it'll be time to BBQ. it's one of the coolest ways to cook.. sweet corn is great! i soak in water (shuck and all) for a about 1 hour and then throw right on top of a low grill. Cook till outer layers are dry (about 20-30 minutes, turning frequently) cooks up perfect every time!

Hi Everyone -- I'll join, too, and try to do better than last time. Weight currently: 175 by June: 165 Exercise: 25 minutes cardio at least 5 days a week and START a weights program. I also want to keep my journal and nutrition input tracking at fitday.com. Good luck EVERYBODY! :D

I didn't get in on the Easter challenge, but[b:1881567a6f] count me in [/b:1881567a6f]on this one! I just went this afternoon and joined our local athletic club/gym with a family membership. My daughter (age 15) has agreed to do the challenge with me, which will give me more support...yay! I've had my husband to help me work out an exercise program for use at the gym, which includes the nautilus equipment: 20 reps at the beginning weights on each machine three times a week. As a bonus, at the end of the week I get a free suntanning session. [u:1881567a6f](treat!)[/u:1881567a6f] My daughter will be doing the exact same exercises as I will. My starting weight as of this minute is 168 pounds...think I've gained some water today! And my goal weight will be 160 pounds. I went off my diet in February and March to give my body a rest from taking the Phentermine, and only gained 2 pounds during my time off. But I'm back on schedule now, and ready to roll!!! Count me in! And thanks to everyone who has given me the support to fall from 202# in October to 168#....so far!!!

hey everyone, im in for the challenge. im really going to start limiting my food intake starting tomorrow and by memorial day i hope to be about 6 lbs lighter! :P April

Hey I'm in again. I want to lose 5lbs by then... I walk everyday for at least 30minutes do treadmill 3 times a week curcuit training at express workouts 3 times a week pilates 2 times a week (if i feel up to it) OH And i want to restart my food and exercise journals I'm really enjoying the nice long days Hope everyone completes their goals good luck....... :P

hey scorchin, i know what you mean about starting up a food journal again. im planning on starting one tomorrow because it really helps me see what im eating everyday. good luck! :) April

yeah I started it today Daisy.. i need to drink more water thought i was drinking more than i am lol......

Hello to all...............I am in on this challange also. I did the Easter challange, (didn't check in). I did loose 5lbs and have noticed a difference in tone. I do alot of yard and garden work and have been walking, this challenge is to exercise with weights and drink water........I drink very little water right now, perfer a nice cold beer (yes, I know that's bad). I am going to New York in May and would LOVE to be 5lbs lighter. Good luck to all and BigBoy.......your posts always make me laugh.

I'm new and have 26 kilos to lose. I'll accept the challenge and attempt to lose 5 kilos by June 2, as well as make sure I do "willed exercise" at least 1/2 hour, five times a week. Thanks for all the support provided here!

Hi Imaley, "Willed Exercise" is always a great thing to do. You're from Israel? One of my favorite artists is from Israel..

Sounds great! I don't want to win anything, just have the feeling that I did something to help myself out. So thats 6 weeks I heard someone say? I know its not much but I wanna lose 6 pounds! Or at least get some muscle or tonedness. :D

Hiya, actually I was born and raised in Wisconsin and moved here twelve years ago. Much success to all!

Count me in, too! My goal is to get toned. To accomplish this: I have been increasing my weight and reps. I need to be stricter on my diet. Good Luck!

looks like a motivated crowd! way to go!

Let's do it. :) I'm going to make my goal 10 lbs by June 2... To do this I'll increase my water intake to two liters a day and eat at least three servings of veggies... Good luck, all. Oh, and exercise 3-4 times a week. :P

i did 25 minutes on a stationary bike today, and cranked the resistance up to 4. all i have to say is ouch. :) i am planning on weighing in on Friday. i will post my results then.. i'd love to see the scale go downward!

Pixiechic. Nice job! Keep up the good work :) Imaleh. What made you decide to move to Israel? Welcome to the challenge Valeriffic, QueenBee and Carmen! Good Luck to everyone involved!

I didn't want my kids to have to grow up with the antisemitism that I had to live with as a kid. That's what got me here in the first place. That's not what's keeping me here, though. The people are incredible, the atmosphere is almost magical, it's beautiful, etc. Seeing is believing. Good going on that exercise! I've been doing Richard Simmons at least once a day, usually twice, once aerobics and once toning. I weigh in on Sunday. Have a great weekend, everybody.

I weigh in on my bday challange every thursday so i quess that i will also post my memorial challange on thurseday. start 191 goal 181 current 190 i lost a pound wich is great becuase i had such a bad week that i thought that would gain. I will post back nest week [u:a97fd7ad76][b:a97fd7ad76]Kiara[/b:a97fd7ad76][/u:a97fd7ad76][/color:a97fd7ad76]

good job, kiara. i'm going to weigh in tommorrow.. so keep your fingers crossed for me!

I challenge myself to lose 3 inches and to go to the gym 3 times a week and do 3 circuits around the gym till. Good luck everyone..........You can do it!!!!!!!!! 8) Sharky

okay.. hangin in at 135. i have been staying on my workout plan. eating okay. so that is my update.

Hey, weighed in today and I'm down 1 kilo this week! Only 26.5 left to go. I've been keeping up with the exercise -- Richard Simmons at least 1/2 hour, five days a week, usually an hour a day. Independance Day is this week, though, with all the picnics and portable food. I'll have to port a lot of carrot sticks and apples!

here is my update..... i lost 2lbs so far maybe ill lose more than my goal.... Been keeping up with my food and exercise journals and been drink at least 70oz of water a day... so go me.... Good luck to everyone [/color:53da159213] :) :) :) :) :) :)

WAY 2 GO Scorchin and imaleh. keep up the good work [u:e55497c65e][b:e55497c65e]Kiara[/b:e55497c65e][/u:e55497c65e][/color:e55497c65e]

Good job everyone! I did really well with my diet this weekend. Didn't eat the wrong foods. :) Worked out too. I really want to buy a new bathing suit for this year. ..and in a color other than black for once in my life! Congrats to you guys on your weight loss! That is simply terrific Imaleh and Scorchin! Your both on great pace :)

I will join you all...better late than never ;-) Well...I seem to be gaining weight daily !! No joke!! 6 Months ago I were 125 pounds...now..I am now 170...I have gained a good 8 inches round my stomach...:( My goal will be - Drink loads, water not beer! Continue eating healthily but cut out the kebabs at weekend! and I will try...really really try to exercise... I just want to loose these inches!! As many as possible!! What would be a realistic goal for me? Love Paula xxx

Count me in!!! I'm new to the site. I just joined today. I would like to lose 20-30 pounds at the most by my wedding date which is August 28,2004. By the end of this challenge I would like to have lost at least 10 pounds. Maybe I'll even start using the gym we have at work. :D

Well i weighed in at weight watchers on Saturday and i gained a pound i know why because i didn't exercise hardly at all last week so i went today and started again..I walked at the mall 1.08 miles and then went to the gym for 1mile maybe a little more. .So i'm back on track now go me.

Welcome to the challenge, Sixty! Better late than never for sure. :) BrandyMc, 1 pound isn't much to fret over. The sooner you back into your routine, the better. Because healthy "habits" help you, and bad habits don't. Keep up the good work, everyone!! There is a little over a month left..

Check in time still 190. I had a bad week so even is good. Back on track now. I am confident that i will meet my memorial day goal. [u:39f7a5c947][b:39f7a5c947]Kiara[/color:39f7a5c947][/b:39f7a5c947][/u:39f7a5c947]

take comfort kiara :) i decided to weigh in a day early and my weight hasn't seemed to have budged. my diet and exercise plan are right on track, so maybe it's just muscle from all the hard work? :)

Sorry to mention it, but it could be pre-period. Many women retain water before their period and temporarily gain weight. If you've stayed even, but you're pre-period, you've actually probably lost. Hope that's encouraging.

Sounds like everyone is on track and doing the job. Great work to everyone.

How is everyone doing? Everyone getting closer to their goals?

Ok, I'm in! I'm hoping to lose 4-5 lbs. Start doing crunches every morning and continue walking everyday.

Great Job All, I'm so stuck on a plateau...3 weeks now. But, I'll keep plugging along. Hopefully, it will break and I can be on my way down! Have a great weekend everyone

Just keep plugging away and eventually you'll break through the plateau.

Howdy friends and new friends, Here I iz entering the MDC, my target iz to increase leg work to tone and strengthen quads, biceps, calves and ankle/feet. I am presently only on a walking routine, which is good but not sufficient. We are getting into hiking weather here in the Rockies where 50% of grades are “up”…LOL I intend to add half squats and toe raises starting with body weight (220#) and adding 50#s of resistance by Memorial Day. My routine is two days on and two days off with reps to exhaustion. I hope all are well and good fortune be to everyone for this challenge :)

great to have you join in, jubal :) sounds like some very good goals! best wishes to you in accomplishing them.. i can't believe that the month of may is already underway..

Thanks so much for the encouragement pix, :) I will accomplish the goals set for MDC. :D :D

Hey! I've been away for a bit, but I'm back, and I'm going to join this challenge! (even though I confess I had never even heard of Memorial Day before now, not being American... 8O ) I wasted the whole of April intermittently dieting and over-eating, so I'm still at 138lbs. My goal for Memorial Day will be to lose 6lbs down to 132! I'm sure I can do that! Yee-hah! Oh and GOOD LUCK to everyone for their challenge! :D Pika

Just checking in, and happy as a clam!!!. I believe my plateau has passed. Three weeks at the same weight can be awfully disappointing, but, alas, NO MORE. The scale moved! Down 5.5 from last week. How very motivating. I feed the need to go do one of my firm workouts!. Good luck everyone! Keep going. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was the size of my BUTT!!!! :D Have an excellent week all.

Greetings to everyone new to the challenge! This is a really great way to keep the motivation going. I have lost 5 pounds since joining in.. Thanks for such a great thing, featherish :)

Since I bombed out on the Easter challenge (no weight gain, but no loss either :( ) I'm in this one. This past weekend (Fri.-Mon.) not only did I exercise more, but I also really watched my caloric intake. I dropped 5 pounds! LOL! Of course, I had about 5 pounds to lose to get back to what I was - so I'm sure some of this is just some day-to-day variation. Still, nice to see a drop for a change. I had a Memorial Day goal in my head and while I won't reach it, there's still a month left for me to lose *something*. So off I go! I guess in order to lose, I just REALLY have to watch my food intake and exercise even more. Joy!

Congrats to all those who have seen results. Good Luck to everyone for the rest of the challange [u:ba6fb26c04][b:ba6fb26c04]Kiara[/b:ba6fb26c04][/u:ba6fb26c04][/color:ba6fb26c04]

you're welcome jubal! ..i think you can do it, too.. great to have you back pikachu! memorial day honors our soldiers that were lost in war, so a little history on the holiday. :) and on the bright side, you haven't gained anything extra. that is about the weight i was stuck at for a while. my last weigh in i lost a couple of pounds finally. lol@kris ..funny stuff! great attitude! nice job on the weight loss, too. that is great. keep up the good work :) qb ..nice job! doc ..hey! long time, no see :) once you're back in the swing of things it gets easier ..you can lose it :)

[quote:9c5a233fc6="PixieChic"] doc ..hey! long time, no see :) once you're back in the swing of things it gets easier ..you can lose it :)[/quote:9c5a233fc6] I've always been here... just didn't have a lot to say. LOL! Yep, I actually do "shut up" sometimes. And I haven't felt like I wasn't in the "swing of things" - just not quite at the pace I was, say, in November. But I still watched what I ate and I tried to get some exercise. But I was stuck at 250-255. I realize that to break this plateau, I REALLY have to cut back on food intake and exercise more (perhaps a lot more). As summer is knocking on the door, I felt that I may as well use the month of May to see if I can finally break through this plateau. If I can lose a "real" 10 pounds by Memorial Day (on my work scale - such that it reads 240), I'll be very happy!

Well time to check in. 190. I know that i will break out of this platue but will it be in time for the challange? Who knows? I am determined to see the numbers start to go down agian. Maybe i will have better news next week. [u:65d4283801][b:65d4283801]Kiara[/b:65d4283801][/u:65d4283801][/color:65d4283801]

Hello everyone! Kiara. On the bright side, you haven't gained any weight, either. :) You can do it girl! So can everyone else :) There are a few weeks left..

Ok i gained two lbs then I lost one so I'm lb pound up for the last time i checked in.......... I have increased my exercise.[/color:093915c5f7]

Is it too late to register? :?: I weigh 169 today, May 8th. My goal is to be 162 by May 31, Memorial Day. I think I can do this goal. Anyway, that is it. :D

Good Luck Jacob. You can do it. :D :D [u:5608b1daee][b:5608b1daee]Kiara[/b:5608b1daee][/u:5608b1daee][/color:5608b1daee]

[quote:0111b8987c="kiara22011"]Good Luck Jacob. You can do it. :D :D [u:0111b8987c][b:0111b8987c]Kiara[/b:0111b8987c][/u:0111b8987c][/color:0111b8987c][/quote:0111b8987c] Thanks. You too.

Okay i weighed in on Thursday last week at 164 only 3 more to go before the end of the challenge i weighed 167 when i started this challenge.I'm getting there. :D

I'm another new one just registering now. I found this site last week but I didn't want to post in case I didn't get around to actually doing anything (I usually make grand plans and then do nothing about them...) BUT, someone here mentioned www.fitday.com and that's been really helpful at motivating me! I've been to the gym everyday and eaten less, because I don't want to have to write down that I ate rubbish and didn't exercise :) I started last week at 158lb and I've already lost 3lb. My memorial day goal is now to get to 149lb (2lb/week). My ultimate goal would be to get to around 130lb. Thanks for the help with motivation!

Ok I lost two lbs yippppeeee I'm down to 148 and my doctore decreased one of the meds that make me gain weight today so that should help too.. So thats a total of 3lbs for me two more and i hit my mdg WTG to everyone so far and welcome to the newbies...... much love, Heather :P :P :P [/color:0ced50acd2]

Congrats to all those who have been losing. I wieghed myself today and i am still stuck on 190. This platue is driving me crazy. Oh well I will keep at it. [u:95dbf48fa1][b:95dbf48fa1]Kiara[/b:95dbf48fa1][/u:95dbf48fa1][/color:95dbf48fa1]

Great to have you join us Jacob. It is never too late to set some goals to achieve :) There isn't a lot of time left, but most certainly enough time to get your feet running.. Kiara.. Keep on keepin on. If you are stuck at a plateau, maybe re- evaluate your diet/ calories intake for a minute and see if you can't skid outta the 90's and into the 80's! You can do it.. How is that CD player working for you? Scorchin.. Congrats on the loss.. we share the same first name :) Brandy Mc.. You can do it! 3 pounds isn't much too lose at all. Welcome PigPuppet! Using whatever tools you can to reduce your weight is never a bad idea. Looking forward to your succcess!

Hey guys!! I'm in. 10 pounds off by then. Currently 205(I've lost 8 pounds in 1 week!!) Goal 195 (finally under 200 again!!!) PS. Hey Brandy! I'm a Brandy too!! :D

weigh-in day today: I lost another 2.5lb :) I hope everyone else is going well with their goals too

I am at a 1000 to 1200 cal a day eating plan already so i realy dont want to go any lower. Insstead i decided that i will add 15 extra minutes to my arobic work out and 2 extra seets to my weight workouts. Hopefully that will kick me off of the platue that i am on. My cd player is great. I got a sports one so that it wont skipp while i am jogging. Hope to have good news on thursday. [u:1309c4133d][b:1309c4133d]Kiara[/b:1309c4133d][/u:1309c4133d][/color:1309c4133d]

starting weight:173 weight now:147 weight in june: 137 or lower at least by the end of june how: taebo, tennis, starting to strength train, and eating right. my plan is to do an hour of cardio 4 times a week and then strength train to fatigue on the other 3 days...

I hope I am not too late to join in..... Please, Please, Please... I would like to lose 10 lbs between now and then....Well maybe i should say 8-10 lbs because I am really wanting to lose slow and I have alot going on right now.... Please let me know if I was too late.. thanks .P.S You did say this was between now and June right???

Nope! There is still plenty of time to set a goal and work towards achieving it :) Glad to have you join in on the fun.. June 2nd is the day of the drawing.. so a couple of weeks.. What are you doing to lose weight?

Mainly, I am just watching what I am eating and drinking plenty of water or trying to.... lol... I have lost 46 lbs since Jan. and I hit plateaus but recover them by just not giving up.. I have accepted that this isn't a diet but a life change/style... I do try to exercise atleast 3-4 a week... Really that is it.. I don't deprive myself of the things I really want I just talk to myself or through it to make sure do I really want it or why do I want it.. If I still want it and take the steps that I have been posting on here I eat it but pay close attn to serving sizes and calories and find alternatives from high fat/cal to low fat/cal... Pretty much that is it....To me it is more of a mind game then anything... More then motivation, more then just emotions alone... We all are here for a reason....loosing weight is partly the reason for me but also support to be around others like me..I am so excited to be here and feel very fortunate..

Congrats to everyone continuing to progress. I finally got off of my plateau. 4 weeks at the same weight was really disappointing, and I know there will be many to come. But this time around, I finally stuck through it. I don't know that I'll make the goal that I set for myself at the beginning of this challenge, but it was a fairly lofty goal. Perhaps a bit too much considering I didn't think about an impending plateau. However, I'm going to keep plugging away at 275 for now, then I'll take another bite out of the elephant and start hacking away at another piece of the pie. I'm looking forward to the next couple of days. Hopefully, I can get on the scale and see another 2 pounds gone....that will be 40. Just remember everyone, Rome wasn't built in a day...neither were our waistlines!!! Keep moving!

Great job Kris! perserverance is sometimes the best thing you can do when you hit a plateau. remember what you are working for and it makes it a little easier to do..

Well i've been weighing myself every morning i know i'm not supposed too but it really does keep me on track lol.So anyways right now today i weighed in at 162 tomorrow is my official weigh in day though so i will post again tomorrow morning :D and welcome to the board brandywine  we've got a good name don't we

I did it. I am off of that awful platue. After spending weeks at 190 the scale finaly says 188. I am so happy. :D It looks like kicking up my workout has paid off. [u:849aa76cf2][b:849aa76cf2]Kiara[/b:849aa76cf2][/u:849aa76cf2][/color:849aa76cf2]

Great Job Kiara...I weighed in this morning at 162 so only 1 more until i have met my goal of 161 for this challenge ! I'm doing great if i do say so myself lol... :D

that's great news, everyone getting off their plateau and getting closer to their goal :) I just weighed in this morning and I've got one more pound to lose too (another 20 after that, but I'm focussing on this goal for now :) )

great job everyone keep it up :D

Just checking in. I've kicked my plateau too. Happy to report that I weighed in at 142 this morning. Walking routine is still going strong - walking 2-3 times a day. Need to get better at those crunches! Great work everyone!

Another pound bites the dust! 285 this week. One more for me and I'll be happy as a clam, at least for now. That will make 40 so far and then I'll start taking another bite out of the elephant. This week I plan on laying it on pretty strong with the exercise. I've been slackin' lately, only 4 days of stationary bike. I got the firm workout set and I'm going to start that this tonight as soon as I get home so there's no excuse. The hubby will just have to wait an hour to have dinner. So, good luck all and finish the challenge with a bang.

hey wow! that is great news everyone. kudos to all of you for doing so well!! i have been doing my workouts every day. increasing resistance and reps. not seeing a bunch of weight loss, but more muscles (and veins) are popping up everywhere, so that is my report for a monday.. next weekend is the big holiday! anyone got good plans?

I am happy to see that everyone is making progress. It does not look l will meet this challange do to a platue that i was stuck on for a while. Oh well. I will not give in. I might not meet this goal but i will continue to work to meet my ultimate goal of 130. [u:13c4211271][b:13c4211271]Kiara [/b:13c4211271][/u:13c4211271][/color:13c4211271]

well this week i weigh in at 164 but it's because it's that time of the month lol so two pounds isn't that bad i guess. I know i will be down next week though so wish me luck :D

Well, three days to go, but I'm not going to make this challenge... I haven't even met my minimum weekly goal. :( I seem to be stuck and go down in tiny steps. I know everyone has plateaus, but I seem to get one every other week - I lose a pound and then I gain again straight away and then stagnate for two weeks before I can lose any more. Sorry, I know no-one can really help, just venting... is there anyone else out there who's about 10-20lbs above their ideal weight and is finding it reeeeeal slow? *sigh* Still, good luck to everyone else with the challenge!

Well today i weighed in at 162 again so hopefully in a few days i will be able to lose 1 pound of water weight lol ...good luck everyone :D

it's memorial day! i wasn't seeing any results but i kept up my taebo. but i'm down to 143 from 147 at the beginning and i went up to 150 but down to 143 like i said. i switched to low carbing and i love it. i had bacon and eggs and then i had a rootbeer float with diet rootbeer and no sugar added icecream which was a total of 4g carbs this morning. yum. but yep- thAT'S MY RESULTS- I'M NOT IN THE 130'S BUT AT LEAST I'M CLOSER! WHOOPS=-caps. cangradulations to anyone who made it to their goal!

Well, I weighed 174 when I first started my diet, and that was on May 3rd, 4 weeks ago today. I entered the contest on May 8th, and I was 169 on that day. Today, 23 days later, I weigh 155, as of this morning. I beat my memorial day goal of 162 by 7 pounds. I did this by doing an extremely low calorie diet, although I did modify it a bit during the challenge. Right now, I'm doing this(and I'll probably stick with it too): Breakfast: All-Bran extra-fiber cereal with milk(50 calories+50=100) Lunch: Four pieces of veggie bologna(60 calories) Two pieces of American cheese(140 calories) Two Kellogg's cereal bars(100 calories apiece) Dinner: Two morningstar veggie burgers with mustard(100 calories for each burger, 0 for the mustard). I drink Crystal lite(5 calories a glass) throughout the day, for a total of about 750 calories each day. I also walk 2 miles 3 times a week and lift weights 3 times a week. I am also going to start swimming instead of walking in a couple weeks, and I will be doing about a mile a day.

Well the deadline is here and I did not meet my goal. Oh well i will not let it get to me. I will keep working to meet my goals. My next goal is my birthday goal wich is 20lbs by august 12th. Congrats to all those that have meet there goals, and good luck in the drawing. [u:eb7dae5471][b:eb7dae5471]Kiara[/color:eb7dae5471][/b:eb7dae5471][/u:eb7dae5471]

As predicted, I haven't met mine either, so that makes two of us! :hugs: We'll just have to do better next time. On the other hand, I do have a shiny new Pikachu avatar thanks to you, Kiara - muchas gracias! :)

Congratulations to everyone that "stuck with it". That in itself is a major success! I didn't meet my challenge goal, 4 pounds short of it, but I did meet one of my most important personal goals. I've lost a total of 40 pounds...YEEE HAAA. My next personal goal is the big 50!, then I'm going shopping for my cruise. So I'll just have to kick it in to high gear and go go go! 120 to go, the hardest was starting. Again, congrats all, and see you for the next challenge.

Well i almost met mine i weighed in at 162 still i only had 1 darn pound to goal oh well i guess maybe next time. = (

..Any others in on this one?? We'll have to get to drawing pretty soon..

do i count for the drawing even though i'm only down 4 pounds?

checking in, I'm about 2 lbs. shy as well. I may have made it if it wasn't "that time". But oh, well. Will we have a 4th of July challenge??? I was excellent on the walking part, so-so on my crunches part.

Hey! I almost forgot :( I weighed in 5 pounds lighter than when I started so overall I am pretty friggin happy! Looking forward to seeing who the winners will be this time.. **crossing fingers** Congrats to everyone here on the progress they have made. I think that it is wonderful. (Even if you "fell short") Keep up the good work everyone,

I thought I wasn't going to make it because I slacked off a bit for the past few days while a friend was visiting. I guess all the walking we did while sightseeing helped a bit, though :) I ended up just under my goal weight: 148.75

Good Luck in the drawing for everyone that has meet there goals. If you fell shy dont let it get you down. we all hit bad spots once in a while. The true winners are those who keep on going even through the rough times. [u:9bd246a128][b:9bd246a128]Kiara[/b:9bd246a128][/u:9bd246a128][/color:9bd246a128]

Sorry for the delay everyone.. I will draw today. I didn't get a chance to send out a newsletter to remind everyone, so we'll just do it for the people that came back to check in. Look for that announcement at 2 pm EST. Congrats to all on the progress made!! We are all winners in the grand scheme of things :)

Congratulations all!

Blah! No Congratulations for me! I gained weight! 8O  I discussed this in a "Trials and Tribulations" thread, so I won't repeat all of this again... but apparently eating some pizza and having some treats was enough. I work out (some walks, some exercise bike, some lifting), but apparently not nearly enough to combat the fact that I allowed my body some treats. So I guess the only way for me to lose weight is to return back to my superstrict diet and exercise program. I thought I could cut back (hey, it's tough following that program!!), but I guess not. Sigh... :(

If your pizza and other treats kept you under your calorie count that you were following for the day, then what is the big deal? From what I understand, there is no difference between someone eat 1500 calories of vegetables or 1500 calories of chocolate cake with regard to weight gain. Calories are calories, and if you take in more than your body burns+exercise, you are going to gain weight. Vice versa for losing weight. I guess I don't understand when I hear people say that certain foods make them gain weight. Maybe I'm not as versed scientifically as I should be.

I sometimes wonder if they "quality" of calories matter? I'm sure to some degree they do. Calories from fruits and veggies provide essential vitamins and minerals that help your bodies immune system. But a chocolate chip cookie provides? What do you guys think?

I think for some people that calories from pizza and stuff do affect more because of the salt factor.I can't believe how much salt are in some foods? You'll do better next time Doctor :D

Pretty much. Cake tastes great but it just doesn't get processed by the body right.
