Me again. You need:(for 4 portions) 4 large cooking apples Splenda (or other powdered sugar sub, tho I have to say Splenda tastes like the real deal to me) 1) peel the apples, and quarter them, remove the core. 2) [b:e8c6d05cb7]THINLY[/b:e8c6d05cb7] slice apples and put into saucepan of cold water. 3)when all sliced, leave in cold water for ten minutes 4)remove [b:e8c6d05cb7]ALL[/b:e8c6d05cb7] the water (apples are full of water plus you've had them soaking up more still) 5)put pan with apples on to medium heat (as soon as start cooking the water will seep out so it WILL NOT BURN) 6) add 2 heaped teaspoons of splenda and stir in. add two more for good measure. 7) leave to do its thing on a med heat stirring every 5 mins. In about 15 mins will have yummy stewed apple, can have alone, hot or cold...I like it hot, with a small blob of vanilla icecream (80 cals). It's [color=blue:e8c6d05cb7][b:e8c6d05cb7]heaven[/b:e8c6d05cb7][/color:e8c6d05cb7] in dessert form!( and makes yummy breakfast too) I tend to make a batch one a week and it keeps for days in the fridge so can have it there all week. Its a dessert, a breakfast, even a snack if you're desperate!
