Hey lisa.. You mean you aren't supposed to pour that stuff back over the meat? So that is what I've been doing wrong. ~smirks~ AF lll
LOl ur so funny!
I've been called worse ~winks~ AF lll
AF...I think you got the idea of it all wrong.LOL
i love the george foreman grill. i love the fact that it cooks on both sides so its faster than traditional means plus it drips the grease off. its really good for making chicken in. i say go for it.
I love my George Foreman Grill! I have had 3 of them. Each time they get bigger and I use it more often!
Thanks everyone for your opinions. I love my Foreman grill. The fact that it takes away all that fat and still make the food taste that good amazes me.
There are a lot of different things that you can prepare on the George Foreman grill. Shish-kabobs are excellent! I like to marinate the meat for a couple of hours to give it extra flavor, then mix in some mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Serve it with some rice and dinner is served. Not to mention the fact that shish-kabobs always make me feel like its summertime..:)
I [i:3ad668a874]loved[/i:3ad668a874] the George Foreman grill when I used to eat meat. Bacon cooks like a dream! No splattering or mess, and the grease that comes out of the bacon is appalling! Chicken breasts, steaks, everything came great, it's one of the best cooking appliances I've ever owned. The poor thing sits in the cabinet now, all by it's lonesome, but I'm sure some day I'll have need of it again. I hear you can grill veggies on it, but i've never tried it.
A little off topic.. but for you boxing fans out there: George Foreman wants to come out of retirement and fight again. That would be very scary. Pray that he doesn't.. for his health. AF lll
I have had my George Forman Grill for a couple of years. I love it, but it did take me a few tries to get my meal prepared at the same time! It cooks so fast, and locks in the juices! MMMMM, your making me hungrey! CharChar :D
There is a great bananas foster recipe in the recipe book that comes with it. Serve it up with some ice cream.. **Trying to think of something else**
when i went low carb (like a fantasy vacation gone horribly wrong for me), it was great! that and my grill got constant use. my only problem was the cleaning. that darn thing is just a bear to get clean. other than that, i found that it was a great time saver, and cooked foods okay
[quote:adb0b45247="golem"] my only problem was the cleaning. that darn thing is just a bear to get clean.[/quote:adb0b45247] This is my problem as well. I use ours all the time, and use the juices to cover my dogs food for a treat! But cleaning it is a definite down fall. Wont stop me from using it though!!!
Cleaning it is sort of a hassle, but not impossible. I had one that I used for about 2 years, but the bun warmer thing on top broke off, and then we moved to a new house, and I tossed it out in the move. After a couple of months without it, too many dinners out and a few extra pounds to re-lose, I finally replaced it this past weekend. Even got it on sale for 20.00 bucks off! This time it doesn't have the bun warmer, but it's back to having steaks, chicken, pork chops, and asparagus without getting dirty pots and pans! Hurray :) In fact, I'm looking forward to cooking on it tonight. It takes just a few minutes to cook bacon perfect (nice if you follow a low-carb diet) It hardly shrinks, it gets nice and crispy and most all of the fat drains off! It cam e with a giant recipe book, too. I think even bigger than the one included in the first.. I'll have to see what other healthy recipes might rile up the tastebuds!
