You could buy the dry mix ranch dressing and mix it with a fat free sour cream for a dip. Or mix with skimmed buttermilk for a dressing (might be a little on the thin side) I think skimmed buttermilk is pretty low in fat. Maybe somebody else has some better ideas. I've bought the fat free bottled Ranch dressing, but to my family and myself it has a "sweet" taste to it. We don't like it at all. Ellie
we dont like that fat free stuff either
that is the one thing that fat provides in anything really. a better taste! you could try a reduced fat version. i've had it before, and although it isn't as good as the regular, it has a little less calories anyhow.
Just found this, haven't tried it yet but it sounds pretty good. 34 calories and a trace of fat isn't bad. (if you checked for skimmed buttermilk it might bring down the calories some) Buttermilk Ranch Dressing 1 1/3 cups buttermilk 2/3 cup fat-free mayonnaise 4 teaspoons cider vinegar 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 3/4 teaspoon dried dill 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon sugar 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder Whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, and vinegar. Add remaining ingredients and blend well.
