:) Hi Folks, I know the first step is to start a journal. Look at my eating and exercise and start keeping track. I think I would be OK if I could stop eating at night. I stay up too late, get tired, and at the same time feel hyper. I think I'm eating to relax - maybe the journal will help me find some better solutions. So what I was wondering was, have you been journaling? Do you keep track of emotional issues as well as diet and exercise? When do you fill it out? Do you hide it from your coworkers? Do you keep it here online? Do you have any tips for me??? Thanks - Val

Don't be afraid to start! That is the first step! How you keep a journal is entirely up to you. Do it in a notebook, start one here..it's free if your a member. Journals are very personal things.. if it clears your head to write your emotions and keep you out of the kitchen, do that.. Glad to have you here.. and welcome :D

Hello Val and welcome aboard! Failure is a part of life! Nothing to spend too much time worrying about! Baseball players make millions by failing 7 out of 10 times! Nice to meet you! :)

I have a simular problem, I stay up late too, mostly to watch late night movies. I used to eat things like chips, cheese on toast and a lot of fatty food. Now Ive replaced the fatty food with things like fruit and a few glasses of water. If you drink two to three glasses of water, it bloats you and takes away the food cravings. At least it does for me. Hope this helps
