I'm sure there's people out there doing this, but the other night I took half of a whole wheat pita and filled it with a little shredded cheese, fresh sliced mushrooms and baby spinach leaves and pressed it in my George Foreman grill. You don't need a lot of cheese to make it stick together. It was great! I'm going to try it with some eggplant and parmasan cheese later and maybe dip it in some marinara.. Just something fun to play with, the possibilities are endless. I bet this would be a great technique for quesadillas too! Fill me in if you try this and what recipes worked good.

Sliced (cooked) Chicken breast with a bit of salsa, cheese and roasted peppers might be tasty too! I'll have to give that one a try for sure. Normally I just use my foreman grill to cook steak or pork chops. Quick question for you, did you use cooking spray to make sure it didn't stick?

I didn't use any cooking spray and didn't seem to have any trouble. And I tried the eggplant the other night and it was really great. It actually wasn't a good idea to grill it all together, the eggplant is really watery and makes the bread mush when grilled inside the bread. So I grilled the eggplant first and then warmed the pita in the grill and put the eggplant and cheese in the pita and topped it with a little parm and mozzarella cheeses and some left over spaghetti sauce. mmm

Sounds pretty tasty! I saw that Foreman now has a Roaster. It looked like it did a nice job of Roasting a whole chicken. That might be a nice addition for cooking contraptions someday. I bought the Turbo-Cooker, used it once and decided that I didn't like it. It didn't work as advertised. After I got sick of dusting it, I finally tossed it out. :( Maybe the roaster would be different??
