I was just wondering how important form is when lifting weights. How will it affect my workout? Does it matter? Thanks in advance for any help...

form is very important. the main reason its so important is so that you avoid injury! if you use improper form you can get a lot of muscle soreness and even an injury. if using weights, never jerk weights or lift more than you can or you can injure your muscle tissue.

Perfect form is stressed for a reason! Always do your best with form.

Form is important for the simple fact that proper form creates optimal resistence, wich is key to getting that perfect "pumped" look.

As everyone else said, form is pretty important. You also want to be sure that you are doing movements slowly and with "control". Jerky movements may cause strain or injury. If an exercise causes you pain, then stop doing it. HTH

no pain no gain ya wimps :)

If you are doing free weights, it is always a good idea to have a "spotter" A spotter can help you use good form when you are lifting weights. If you are lifting more weight than you can handle they can help you lift up.

Form is the key. When done correctly the excercises gets the maximum benifit. Also it can cause injury if an excersice is done wrong. Good luck Kiara
