[size=12][size=18][color=darkblue]Hi there! I have been eating about 800-1200 calories a day since march on average I eat whatever I want but keep my portons small so that I maintain my calorie level. I feel good tha even though I indulged over the holidays I did not gain even a few ounces!!!! I try to keep my fats down and I dont get much bread ( which is good cause I love it ) when I do its low fat or wheat I am also keeping my cholestrol down. To get me started again I got the phase 2 starch blockers has anyone used them?? do they work?? I hope they do! I am 46 Female and have just me and 2 teen girls at home. I am disabled and do to inactivity and some nasty meds that caused weight gain in less than a year I went from 275 to OVER 350 I dont know how much over cause I never got weighed properly. My doc is not help event hough her has me on medicine for diabetes and cholestrol he just says loose weight! Since March when I started I have lost over 40 lbs I am down to 315 and I am happy about it but I want to loose a lot more. I have also quit smoking ( without gaining weight in fact I lost!) Thansk for the help Lady D

Congrats to you on the weight you have lost so far.. that is quite an accomplishment. I regret to say that I have never heard of starch blockers, but assume they are along the same lines of carb blockers? I can't say for sure, but they almost seem like tomfoolery. Actually a lot of these pills out everywhere seem to be the same thing. The reason I say this is because the other day in a checkout line, they had TrimSpa on a shelf, I think it cost about 35.00. I picked it up to look at the ingredients, and it was made up primarily of Chromium Picolinate. There were a couple of other ingredients, but mostly that. You can get this same pill for under 10.00 at any GNC. One of our members here said she was having some results using this, so I can't say that it won't or doesn't work, I've never used it personally..

Congrats on the weight loss and quitting smoking :D I've also just quit smoking and am just now going to start eating low calorie. I've found it's the best weight to lose weight without gaining it all back right away.

Congrats on everyone who quit smoking. That is one of the smartest decisions you have ever made! As to the original person, way to go on keeping the calories down. How long have you been "stuck" for? Maybe you can mix up the food you're eating. Are you eating a lot of the same thing?

[size=18] :) I am not eating alot of the same thing in fact I am being quite adventerous in what I am making tonight I took 1 boneless frozen chicken breast cut it into very thin strips fry this in spray canola oil on no stick pan( I havent bought a qt of oil in about 4 months!!) added about 1/6th of a red pepper cut in thin strips a 1/4th of a sweet onion 1/4th cup frozen corn and and 8 oz container of leftover instant white rice I added in a can of diced tomatoes drained and then used the reserved liquid to "steam" everything else. I spooned this onto a tortilla shell topped it with low fat shredded cheese and fat free sour cream and salsa they were delicious and each went for about 230 calories out of this recipe I fed 3 people approx 9 tortillas! anywho the starch blocker YES it is like carb blocker it is made from white beans and is suppose to surpress teh enyzine that converts starch into sugar during digestion I got 80 for 11$ enough for 40 dinners ( I try only to eat carbs at dinner) so lets see in about 6 weeks I should know if it really works or not :) might be something to it people who subsist on beans as a main protien source are usually thinner Well enough for now take care and be good! Lady D

be sure to keep us posted. it would be interesting to see if these things work for real. i know that they are going to ban ephedra in the US soon. this is something that actually DOES work, but since there are side effects and it isn't for everyone,1 bad apple spoils the basket for everone else.

NEVER use ephdera I value my heart and I made sure that this pills were stimulatant free..... I am not in to killing myself to loose weight ......I want it to come off like it came on slowly and permanently(I hope) I just really want to be at least 225 I would even be happy if I just achieve that course that would be over 100 lbs..... I know that 150 is not in my graspat least not any time soon my short term goal is 299... I believe in little steps its less discouraging!! Will keep ya allposted and BTW I am diabetic and If this doesnt mess with my blood sugar then and works I will be happy

wow thats great ! :D
