Just wanted to wish all my friends here a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving! Be safe on the highways and don't eat too much Turkey! :D

Same to you! :o

Gobble Gobble!! Have a great holiday everyone!

Mmmm....food.... Can't wait to overeat and gain 20 pounds. Oh wait... ;) Actually, even if we do overeat this weekend, it's fine. We can't gain 5 pounds in one day. As long as we don't make it a habit, a big feast now and then is fine. Have a great holiday everyone!

happy thanksgiving everyone!

gobble gobble. happy thanksgiving to all!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm good turkey!!!!!!!!!!! and it is not bad for you either, it is all the stuff that goes with it that is.

i overdid a bit but it was definitely a nice day. i figured i could ignore weighing myself today and worry about that on saturday. :P

probably a good call bigboy :) i'm happy i don't have any leftovers to munch on. overall i don't think i overate too much, i'm getting back to the gym today and figure my scale will still be here on monday. how was everyones holiday? i hope it was nice!

Hi everyone! My holiday was nice too. I am one of the lucky ones who have great in-laws. We have been at their house since Wednesday. My father-in-law even gave me a nice compliment on my weight loss so far. That was enough to motivate me to pass on dessert. (I still way overate my calorie range.) I used their treadmill once. The bad news is that it's an older model that I didn't know how to work, and so I stood on it and then turned it on. It started at 5.5 mph which I wasn't expecting and flew right off the back! No serious injuries but I had a severly wounded ego! At least I got right back on - after adjusting down to 3.5 mph. (My brother-in-law must've used it before me, after Dad's 3rd heart attack, he no longer goes quite so fast. My [i:772b46637a]thin[/i:772b46637a] in-laws walk daily at 4 mph and I can't keep up YET!) I better go work on it. Jen

Jen, getting a compliment had to feel good! Congrats. Nothing better than when people start to notice and comment on how much weight you've lost.

ouch! how are you feeling after taking a tumble?

nobody has complimented me yet. and they won't! most people i know are arrogant know it alls who won't even notice i lost weight. oh well! i will know :)

People started complimenting me early on - but I think it was just motivation. After I lost 5-10 pounds, some friends would say things like, "oh, your face looks thinner" and so on. They knew I was on a diet though, so I think it was just their way of encouraging me. However, by the time I lost around 40 pounds, the compliments really started pouring in. Now that I'm at the 50 pound mark, people are saying I "have no ass" and that I need new clothes. So don't be discouraged yet - you may just need to lose more than 5-15 pounds before people really start noticing. Also, the people you see every day are most likely the ones to notice the least. There are plenty of people at work who haven't noticed - and that's simply because they saw me everyday, so to them I wasn't really changing. The best way to have people notice is to not see them for a month or so. When you do then they'll notice the differences. It's like hair cuts. You'll notice when a person gets a hair cut because it's usually more dramatic (long to short). But you won't usually notice day to day variations in style (even though we all think our hair looks good/bad on certain days).

how much have you lost bigboy? because i think your doing a great job! :)

QueenBee - Thanks for asking, I'm feeling fine. BigBoy - You're looking good! (I wanted to be first, but Pixie beat me to it!) See you later, Jen

Glad to hear that! How have things been going for ya? and BigBoy, keep it up! You have to be feeling a bit better already!
