anyone know any low fat crock pot recipies?


I'll have to take a look in my cookbooks and see if I can find anything!


Lowfat Crockpot Lemon Pepper Chicken Ingredients 4 chicken breasts 2 tbs. fat free margarine 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. garlic powder lemon pepper paprika 1/2 cup fat free chicken broth or water Preparation Rub the chicken breasts with margarine & season with salt & pepper. Sprinkle chicken generously with lemon pepper, garlic powder, & paprika. Pour broth into crock pot & add chicken. Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours. Cook until chicken is well done. -------------------------------------------------------- Lowfat Crockpot Spaghetti Ingredients 1 1/2 lbs. extra lean ground chuck 1 cup onion , diced 1 cup bell pepper chopped Large can tomato sauce 1 tsp. oregano 1 pkg. Spaghetti seasoning mix 1/2 can mushrooms 12 oz. pkg. spaghetti, cooked Parmesan cheese, if desired Preparation Heat crockpot. Brown beef, bell pepper & onion in non-stick skillet. Drain and place in crockpot. Add mushrooms, tomato sauce, spaghetti seasoning, & oregano. Cook 8 to 10 hours on low or 6 to 8 hours on high. Cook spaghetti according to package direction. Serve sauce over cooked spaghetti. Top with Parmesan cheese as desired. ------------------------------------------------------------- Lowfat Crockpot Split Pea Soup Ingredients 16 oz. pkg. dried green split peas 2 cups ham, trimmed of fat & diced 3 carrots, sliced 1 onion, chopped 2 stalks celery, diced 3 pkg. sugar substitute 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 bay leaf 6 cups hot water salt & pepper to taste Preparation Wash peas & place in crockpot. Add remaining ingredients to crockpot. Do not stir. Cover and cook on high 4 to 5 hours or on low 8 to 10 hours (or until peas are very soft). Remove bay leaf. May be frozen. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Lowfat Crockpot Chicken Breasts & Mushrooms Ingredients 4 chicken breasts 1 can fat free cream of mushroom soup 1 can fat free cream of chicken so up 8 oz. jar sliced mushrooms 2 pkg. sugar substitute 1 tsp. garlic powder salt & pepper to taste 1 tsp. Greek seasoning 1 pkg. eggless noodles, cooked Preparation Combine soups, sugar substitute, & mushrooms & place in crock pot. Wash chicken breasts & sprinkle with garlic powder, Greek seasoning (or favorite seasoning), salt, & pepper. Put in crock pot. Cook on high 4-5 hours or low 8-10 hours. Cook noodles according to pkg. directions & add margarine as desired. Serve with prepared chicken breasts. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Low-Cal Meatloaf 1 pound extra lean ground beef...can use ground turkey 2 cups shredded cabbage 1 medium green pepper, chopped finely 1 teaspoon salt dash of garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon celery powder/salt 1 tablespoon crushed dried onion flakes 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed, optional 1 egg, beaten, optional Thoroughly combine all ingredients. Shape into round loaf. Place accessory meat rack in slow cooker/Crock Pot. Place meat loaf on rack. Cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours. This recipe can be doubled to fit a large 6 qt. slow cooker/Crock Pot. -------------------------------------------------------------- Crockpot Chicken Ingredients: 4 med chicken breasts w/ bone and skin 1 package sliced mushrooms 1 eggplant 3 tbsp asian seasoning (I used Emerils) 1/4 cup cream How to Prepare: 1. Put mushrooms in bottom of crock pot. Place chicken on top. 2. Cut eggplant into cubes leaving skin on. Put around chicken. 3. Cover chicken and eggplant with seasoning and turn on crockpot. I set mine for 8 hours on low. 4. When chicken is falling off bone, remove from pot. Pour veggies and liquid into frying pan. Put in cream and simmer till thick. 5. You can top chicken with veggies now, or put everything back in crockpot to keep warm. ----------------------------------------------------------- CROCKPOT CHICKEN AND VEGGIES Ingredients: 2 chickens -- cut into 8 pieces each 1 small head cabbage cut into 8 wedges 2 small zucchini cut into 1/4s 2 medium turnips peeled and cut into 1/4's 1/2 stick butter cut into 8 pats 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon salt -- pepper, garlic 1 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon caraway seeds -- optional How to Prepare: Put the chicken in the crockpot, then pile everything on top. Cook on low for overnight (8 hours or so) or high about 6 hours. Makes 8 huge servings! Carbs: 5.25 per serving


Wow! This is weird...I just read through a crock pot cookbook yesterday! I discovered that you can wrap a potato (pierce with a fork) in foil and put it in the pot all day and have a baked tato when ya get home...this rocks unless you are lo/no-carb :roll: (been there, done that, hated it!) Anyway I thought this was cool. :D

Makes life a lot easier some days! I pretty much use mine for stuff like roasts, but after that list of low fat crock pot recipes, I might have to give these a try. Thanks for sharing!


I got my dinner in the pot now...I just woke up and while I wait fer the coffee to brew I trow it in the pot an and there ya have it...I love crock pots! I wish I had more than one cuz there are a lot of fruit recipes for dessert too that I wold love to have ready for after dinner too. I love to cook so much...I need to look for a website that ells ya how to make regular recipes lo-fat/cal or even more healthy. If any one knows of one keep me posted. :wink:


I love crock pots also. But when surfing the web at cooking/recipe sites, they are called slow cookers. Thanks for the recipes. It all sounds so good. :wink:


crock pots are great throw the stuff in and have a yummy hot home cooked meal with out too much work now thats my kida cooking
