Well, it seems like everyone has starting talking about their Christmas goals now that Halloween is over, so I thought we could put them all here. My goal is to lose 15 pounds by Christmas.

My goal is 20 lbs by Christmas. I would be so happy to lose more, so I if lose more than that, then that will be my Christmas present to myself!!! And I for sure know that the weight I lose will NOT be a gift I return!

I'm in!! :D As of today, my home scale floats between 240-245. My work scale reads between 262-265. By the holiday season (which for me is Dec. 17th), I hope to drop another 20 pounds. That's a lot, but it's my goal. I want my home scale to bounce between 220-225 and my work (and all other scales) to bounce between 242-245. I'm ending my holiday goal on Dec. 17th as I may take off then for an extended family vacation. I hope to see family first in Ohio and then in Illinois. As such, I won't have a way to weight-lift. Plans may change by then though, so I'll adjust accordingly, but for now, that'll be my last pre-Christmas weigh-in. Then the goal is to at least do *some* exercise during the holidays (like walking) and NOT over-eat (especially of delicious Chicago pizza!).

my holiday goal is to tone up my arms, my legs and my stomach. i don't really have a lot of weight to lose, so that is my goal. :) i will accomplish this by lifting weights, and slowly increase my sets and the pounds that i lift. i have set a date of Dec. 21.

I can do 15 by Christmas! I am focused!

146 lbs by christmas! I CAN do it! It's only 7.8 lbs! I will hopefully surpass that! _Veronica

i am in 2. i am going with 25 pounds.

I'm also in. . . 15lbs by Christmas!

Ok. Turkey Day is over, so I'm going to start thinking about my Christmas goal today. I wanted to lose 15 by Christmas, and I have lost 5 of that already. So, I need to lose 10 more.

God job lambchop! I am in the same boat as you! I can do 10 for sure!

I have a mere 5,5lbs to go and I want to achieve this by Dec 12th (10days!). What makes it hard is that we have so many functions this time of year, but I will make the right choices and on the days we don't have functions, I will be 100% on my diet (Cabbage diet by the way....) Then I am going on leave but I will not be lazing around, I will tone up a bit. I am going to swim, walk and tan and just get a little fitter. I want to go into the New Year as a new me! I will be on goalweight, tanned and toned a little and instead of starting a diet like most people, I will start my 35th year as a new me. It's my 35th on the 3rd of Jan.

No better time than the present! Happy Early Birthday to you :) How is the Cabbage Soup Diet working out for you if you don't mind me asking? Have you lost much weight on it?

way to go maggs! good luck with the new you!

Thanks guys! Yes, the Cabbage soup diet is working perfectly for me, but I changed it to suit my lifestyle. I added meals and used the soup as meal spoilers and fillers for when I don't feel like cooking. In Dec 2002, I started and over the Xmas period I managed to loose 40lbs on it in 12 weeks and kept it off for 18 months with NO dieting inbetween and than gradually my overeating started catching up with me. I gained back about 15 in the last 6 months and that is why I am dieting with a truested diet which works for me. I hate exercise so I am not good on that part. I started again 3 weeks ago and have lost 12 already, only have 3 to go! I am really excited.

Well that sounds like that plan is working out well for you Maggs. Just goes to show you almost any diet plan followed with conviction can work. It's the commitment that matters. Congrats on your success!
