Hi everyone - just joined today. I quit smoking a little over a year ago and ballooned on a few too many. Now I'm really uncomfortable- (but I can breathe much better). One thing at at time, I guess! Have been reading lots of your posts and getting inspiration. Jean

Thanks for quick replies - I still shake my head in amazement at this thing called the internet - the ability to talk to people anywhere anytime - wow In reply - I'm hoping to lose at least 50 lbs - but my goal for the next two weeks is 3! Probably, like most of us here- have been on the weight loss roller coaster for most of my life and looking to really change my habits this time!

welcome to all the new folks! 50 pounds is not too much to lose, jeans. think of it as 5 different 10 pound weight loss goals. as you achieve each level, you mark it off and go on to the next one. sometimes when we have relatively big goals to achieve, its easier to take it in small increments.

Hi, I have 50 pounds to lose, too, that's a great idea to think of it as 10 pound goals, I never thought of that!
