First of all, HAPPY MONDAY!! I'm really not that excited it is Monday, but thought if I said it, it might pep me up! Saturday my mom gave me her TaeBo tapes to try. I am not very coordinated, yet, but I popped in the instructional tape. It wasn't that hard, but I did manage to get through it!!!!! I didn't fall down (usually that happens) and I broke out into an amazing sweat. Tomorrow I will try the beginners tape. I have mainly been using weights and basic exercises such as situps, pushups, etc. I feel that I needed to add something to get my heart rate up. I was just wondering if anyone has done these tapes and if results were seen? After I did that tape I did my 'abs of steel' tape. I feel really good (even if it is a Monday)! Hope everyone has a great week. Oh by the way, I have a 'test' coming up on Saturday. My youngest turns 2 and ya'll know that means cake. I am going to try to block out the talking that cake does to me, and as everyone is leaving I'm going to send a big piece of it home with them to get it out of the house. Ok, sorry I think I just rambled and I said I wouldn't do that anymore! LOL Charity

happy monday to you also! "fake it til you make it" is a favorite quote of mine.. i think of that every monday morning. :) congrats on doing your tae-bo tapes. are they fun to do?

I guess you could say it was fun! I will really think it is fun if I can stick with it and see the results! It has only been a couple of hours since I did just the instructional tape and I am feeling it in my upper thighs and butt (my problem areas). It was mainly a lot of punching and kicking. The tape I am going to do tomorrow I'm sure will put it all together to form more of a routine. I'll let you know if it is fun then LOL!

Well hang in there. Having fun helps a lot! Keep us posted on your progress.

I didn't do it yesterday, but I did a lot of walking. I wasn't horribly sore yesterday. I was sore enough that when you move, you felt it enough so that you were reminded that there was muscle somewhere in there! I did do the Basic Workout video this morning followed with the Abs of Steel. I think I need to go back to the instructional video though. I wasn't prepared for all of the bouncing around. And the tapes do say at the beginning NOT to move on until you master the tape before. I guess that goes back to reading the instructions fully and understanding them before you try to put something together! Overall I do like the video(s). My blood gets pumping and I feel great the rest of the day.

Well definitely stick with it. When you get that satisfied "I accomplished something" feeling, it makes it a lot easier to continue with something. Sounds like you're doing really well.

This might sound really strange, but I think I am addicted to the feeling you have the day after a work out ...or in this case a few hours after a work out. I guess I like the feeling, because it I know I targeted the right muscles. I find myself purposly moving so I can feel that 'burn' of muscles that have been worked. Ok, I'm strange, or maybe normal?

That isn't shocking at all. Exercise helps to release "endorphins" Endorphins are the chemicals that make you feel good. This chemical can also be found in chocolate.. is that surprising? :?: "Runners high" is a term that comes to mind regarding this also!

Just wanted to say that I will not resort to chocolate to get the same 'high' LOL!! I did the instructional video twice this morning. Once for each side of my body. In the first video, he mainly goes over the positions and steps for the other videos. So, in that one you are only working one side of your body. I still had fun, but and this is a big but (no pun intended!), I didn't enjoy doing this twice, my soon to be 2 year old decided that he had had enough of me doing this! Next time I think I will try to wait till nap time! Charity
