8O My Boss had a b-day so he brought in donuts and I ignored them all day but I finally fell prey to their calling. They were yelling at me..."Eat me, eat me now we are tasty and sweet!" So I did and now I hate myself!

saying no to donuts is a hard thing to do. don't hate yourself, accept that you ate a donut, and now you have 300 extra calories to burn! be happy you didn't eat 6 of them!!

Very true...I told the other donuts to shut up and leave me alone

good girl! donuts are evil!

Everyone makes mistakes. Forgive yourself and move on. Donuts are very tempting to almost everyone alive, so not to worry :)

great point hank. there is no reason to linger on the "sins" of yesterday. if you don't have a donut for a while, you can enjoy one without guilt. i really try not to think of food as "good" or "bad". giving into thinking this way has the way of wrecking any diet. whole foods are better than processed ones, but it takes a little of this and a little of that to make the world go 'round!!

Whole food as in "I ate a whole lotta food" Man I am gonna have to get serious here. I am soooo easily swayed. There is this chick who works in my building and she parks her bike right by my window. Yes she rides her bike to and from work and jogs on her lunch. She is uber jock!!! I wish I could be like that but my job consists of sitting on my ass and wearing a suit and heels  I think I am gonna look up bikes. I really use to love bike riding so maybe I gcould get into that again. Anyone here into biking or any suggestions on a good bike?

I think having a treat now and then or a day where you might eat some cake or pizza is fine. As long as you don't overdo it (i.e., a whole, large double cheese pizza or box of cookies) or don't make it an every day event, then you should have no problems. Treats help make your diet more realistic. After all, when you get to your target weight, won't you treat yourself now and then? So why suffer now? By giving yourself that treat, your diet is easier to accept. So don't worry about the donut. As long as you stick to things the rest of the week, you'll do fine.

I agree with [b:93c18843c2]PixieChic[/b:93c18843c2]. All foods are ok. The "skinny" people that I know do not limit what kinds of foods they can eat, and I really don't either. I just try to watch how much I eat and make good choices for my body. I also have Friday's off. I can eat whatever I want, and however much of it I want. But you know what? I hardly ever get extreme with it. It's just that I feel so much better having the *choice* to eat it if I want. And then I feel even BETTER because I chose wisely and didn't eat it all. By the end of the day I'm a big ball of happiness because I got to eat whatever I wanted, but I still made all the right choices for me. Then I'm so impressed with myself that I can't wait to hop back on my diet.

that is some great thinking lambchop. my big tempatation for this weekend is to stay away from a chocolate factory that is making my absolute favorite, chocolate covered strawberries. they only make them on "special occasions" and since this weekend is sweetest day, full production is on. :? i guess it's just as easy not to go there to pick up any of these wonderful treats.. ;(
