way to go and great idea! i can't wait to throw out my fat pants!
Congrats Lemonjazz!!!!!
nice job! :D leaving "fat" clothes around is almost a morale killer, it's like leaving the gates open to go back to being heavy again. it makes it a lot harder if you have to go out and buy all new "fat" clothes, because who in the heck wants to do that??
But there so comfy now, all that extra room, great to lounge in. hehehee I usally were one of mine with a belt, when I run out of clothes to wear. Although, I think I know what I will do with my fat clothes, I am going to make a quilt of them. That way I always have it around, but not for wearing. To show what I accomplished, and that I cut out the fat! That way I can always remind myself to eat right, and exercise, just by looking at the blanket. -Veronica
I'm in that limbo stage. There are clearly clothes that are getting a bit too big for me. When I look in the mirror, all I see is this huge belly still, yet for the past three days, the pants I've worn have all been loose! I bowl (10-pin) and the pants I wore that day were very loose - even with my belt. I do think I have to get another belt because my current one isn't really doing it's job. ;) That said, while loose, none of these clothes are so outrageously large that they merit donating to Good Will. Before I started my diet, I bought a nice black shirt. This is the type of shirt usually worn by younger guys (I just bought it 'cuz it was black and black is slimming! ) - the type that is not supposed to be tucked in and is a tiny bit form-fitting. On models, this shirt really looks good. However, on me, with my huge ol' belly sticking out (that couldn't even be sucked in), the shirt looked terrible. I wore the shirt a few times, but felt I wasn't doing it justice. So I put it on a hanger claiming that I'll just wear it when I lose some weight. Today, I put the shirt on - and even though I still have a gut, the shirt looks pretty darn nice! It hangs very well - no longer do I have this SUPER-SIZE gut bulging. I was thrilled! I have a pair of pants that I wore in the late 80's. The pants are horribly outdated in style, but I've kept them all these years for one reason - for the hope that I will once again fit into them. I wore them in 1990/91 - and I think that was the last time these pants were worn in public. As I said, they are outdated, but my goal is to someday be thin enough to put these pants on again - and have them fit like they did so many years ago. When that day comes, I can assure you, most of the clothes I have now will no longer fit. But I think I'll be happy to buy new clothes then. :)
Are they "parachute" style, by chance?

They are very dark blue, with hints of other color stripes in them (like purple). They have cuffs and a crease - so nice pants overall, but as I wrote, too 80's. Also, I thought parachute pants were from 1990-92. You know, the "Hammer" years.

i had parachute pants as far back as 1983. i believe michael jackson was somehow involved with the trend, altough hammers huge pants inspired a later generation in the early 1990s.
There is no room in my closet for "fat clothes" I am going to be moving next month, and as I go through my rag tag closet of clothes, any clothes that are too big are not making the move to my new house. Straight to the garbage is where they are headed. That is a better idea than moving them somewhere else! You never realize how much "stuff" you own until you have to move it, and I am not carrying "dead weight" to my new house!
