have something high in protein like a sausage. not exactly a bagel, but it may help.
I don't follow a low-carb diet, but I guess one way to satiate your desire for something sweet or carbs is by using a sugar substitute. I recommend Splenda or Stevia over Equal. Splenda tastes much better (made from sugar) and has no after-taste. Of course, this won't crave your desire for a bagel... Maybe you could nibble on a bit of Cheerios? A handful will probably keep you under your carb limit for the day, yet help that craving. As it's only Day 2 of your diet, this is where the "will power" side comes in. So motivate yourself by other means - like pictures of what you want to look like, or a great dress, or a vacation, etc. As you "keep your eye on the prize" this will help you avoid temptations. Good luck!
Thanks! I think I'll change the background on my computer to an old skinny picture of me. That will keep the goal in mind all day long. Work is the place I do the most eating. I don't think the human body was designed for sitting in front of a computer all day long.
Good points. Its definitely tough to not eat when you're not active.
sitting in front of a computer helps contribute to those darn saddlebags.. i don't think the human body was designed to sit in front of a TV all day either!! :) If an old picture inspires you to greatness, then a would say "do it" anytime you feel like nibbling, take a look and ask yourself what is more important to you.. good luck and keep us posted!!
