Okay, today started off good. I was supposed to go to an open house at my mother-in-law's work etc. etc. Well it rained so bad up here we couldn't go so we ended up at a pet store instead. I saw this dog that I wanted really bad cuz it reminded me of my little dog and bestest friend in the whole wide world Bud who got hit by a car and killed back in March. Well when Bud died my mother-in-law (I'm living in her house) and my mom (she was gonna pay) promised me that when I was ready I could have a new puppy. Well, this one was Bud re-incarnate or something, cuz it was so much like her. Well, they have both forgotten their promises. Which is a real downer. :cry: Then that got me thinking about Bud and all day I have been missing her and crying. And when I cry I eat and eat and eat. So all in all today has been really bad. But tomorrow starts a new week (yay, mondays :roll: ) I am going walking with my mom and am hoping to find a steady job at a vets office. I have vowed to quit smoking by my twentieth birthday (hard to believe, but I have been smoking for almost ten years now) which is in October. So I start tomorrow. Wish me luck cuz it will be hard as everyone I live with smokes. Even the mother-in-law, who was quit for like twenty years, looks like she's starting back up. I'm gonna try and stick with my own advice and eat sensibly without gorging myself and stop snacking every night. I also hope to follow my vegetarian plan better than I have been. (yup, I'm one of those animal rights people) Now you all heard it, you have to help me stick to it. I'll post bad days here and good days under success stories! Hello geo.. Sorry to hear about your puppy.. Iknow how you feel, I lost my favorite kitty in June. It was a very sad day. :cry: Things will get better! If you are quitting the smokes, maybe you could put the money you save into a "puppy fund" instead of cigarettes. Not only would it help your health, but you would have a little buddy he could walk with you! If that isn't an option, adopt a stray.. we all know how many unwanted pets are out there, and he or she would be a lucky pup! Keep your chin up!!

Hi Geo Just a note on the new puppy. Alot of times the pet stores get the pups from local breeders. I was looking at pups in a local pet store here but the prices were very high. I went to a local groomer that also breeds pups and saw another puppy that was too cute! guess what it was the sister and she was much cheaper that her brother that had been sold to the pet shop for resale. You may want to check around that "puppy jar" might get you closer to a lovable little furball faster :D What type of dog was Bud:?:
