Personally I am not much for the Atkins diet. From most I heard, yes you loose weight but it comes back thereafter. My opinion would be to start out with changing to 1200-1300 cals a day, lots of water, and start out with walking for a hour. Till you get used to excercising everyday. Once you do that, try bicycling, or someother thing. Once you get the hang of doing it everyday, things become easy! -Veronica
i tried the atkins diet, but here's what happened: i was good for around 3 weeks, then I would binge on carbs (cakes, cookies) and gain the weight back. now i am doing low calorie and i think i can drop weight quicker this way. you can do it too! just realize that you're in the same boat as a lot of folks!
Autumn.. Hello to you! You have to do what will make *YOU* happy. If you are unhappy with your appearance, or worried about your health, this should be the reason to want to lose weight. I can see how having a husband that likes larger women can make it more difficult for you to lose weight.. again, you'll have to want to do it yourself. Look to your future.. as you get older weight will get harder to lose, and it's a lot easier to address that issue now then waiting until it's IMPORTANT. Hello! Maybe you should think of this as "getting healthy" other than being gung ho or depressed about losing weight. Try to eat healthier, exercise a bit. Weight loss is a hard thing to do, but it can be done. You see pictures of people all the time holding up dresses and pants that used to fit. Why don't you set your sights on being one of "those people" So many have this same issue, the media is now touting epidemic levels of people that are overweight, so don't worry you are not alone. :)
hey there :) and no worries you are not the only one out there who is all "gung ho" one week and then all despressed 2 weeks later. It happens to us all im sure. its hard... it takes a lot.. A LOT.. of selfdiscipline to actually achieve the body that we want. About that atkins diet. Well.. it works. My family went on it, and are loosing weight and my boss was also on it, but as soon as you stop the diet... You gain it all back, and then some. the choice you make... weather its atkins diet the zone... or whichever arent going to work forever. Thats the thing we need to realize. Steer clear from dieting... its all going to be the same. Go good for 2 weeks, loose a few.. and then as soon as you are back to eating "normal" you gain it back. Its textbook theory! You need to change your whole lifestyle all together. Starting thinking differently... when u think different, you action will reflect. just.. Eat healthy. Sandwhich over cheeseburger.... and watch those calories. Low fat salad dressing vs. Regular. And you must exersise. Eat healthy.. And work your body.... You will see results. Diets are evil. :twisted: its not worth getting drepressed about afterwards. Unless you stick with that diet forever... then good for you. but most dont. Anyways... hope this helps!
hi i was also on the adkins diet it work for a while but i got so tierd of eating the same things seens you start out so limited im now on weight watchers and i love it if anyone wants to know about ww go to www.weightwatchers.com but dont give up in 2 mounths ive lost 11 pounds :P
