I found this [b:bd07b8a770][u:bd07b8a770]article[/b:bd07b8a770][/u:bd07b8a770] on Yahoo very interesting. It connects large portion size with our current obesity.

I read the same thing. Very interesting stuff in that article!!

I think all of us here either have realized or are now realizing how portion size can dictate waist size. After all, just about every diet plan, from Weight Watchers to Atkins to low-fat/high-carb diets emphasize portion size. These diets also all recommend at least *some* sort of exercise (including walking) and lots of cold water. While the theory behind Weight Watchers, Atkins and low-fat/high-carb diets is very different, it is interesting that they all have those similarities. Super-sizing is a great idea. For 30 cents more one can get what appears to be tons more food and drink! Of course, do we really need those 15 extra high-fat fries or extra 6 oz. of high-calorie soda? As part of my diet plan, fast food places are off-limits.

Good call DoctorU2. I have to admit to enjoying salads from Wendy's. The other stuff, I'll pass on though.. How anyone can eat a [b:dc87976832]"Super-Size Meal"[/b:dc87976832] is amazing. It is the size of 2 or 3 normal meals, only deficent on nutritional values but chock full of calories, fat and other bad stuff.
