I don't really know where I post this cause I didn't see a forum for exercising. :? I am new here and I sorry if this is the wrong spot for it. :) I have just started walking 1 mile a day. When I feel like that isn't working for me anymore I am gonna increase it. I have walk away the pounds video tapes, but I prefer walking outside to that. I am going to cut all unnessasary sugar out of my diet. For example, soda, diet soda, foods with a lot of sugar in them. Now if I crave something sweet I will allow it, but only 1 time a week. Because I am a firm believer in if you say no you will only eat 10 times more than if you had just said okay only 1. I am trying very very hard to increase my veggie, and fruit intake. I also am trying to drink more water. I don't have a set date that I need to lose weight by so hopefully that may help or that may not, I don't know. Also I park farther away from buildings when I go shopping so I can walk to them for a little more exercise. I do eat out occasionally but I only eat the small portions, NO supersize for me. I really hope that I can do this. Hopefully I can stick to this plan. I wish everyone the best of luck with there plans. :)

Sounds a good plan Stephanie ... my wife and I stared walking a couple of kilometers in the evening recently. Was hard at firs, bt we are getting quicker and soon intend making it just a little longer. Need the execise as well as some control over my eating :D Regards Bob

Walking, exercise, etc are all habits. Just like over-eating is. All you need to do is take one habit and replace it with another. I'm the type of guy who gets addicted to everything, at long as it is even remotely pleasurable. So when I smoked a cigarette, that wasn't enough. Soon I was puffing 3 1/2 packs a day. Same went for booze, food, you name it. Ultimately I realized that I am strictly a creature of habit. I get into a routine. So I devised "my plan" which was to replace the bad things I was hooked on with good things I became hooked on. One of those good things is now a daily walk! I wouldn't miss my daily walk habit if I could avoid it. The list of "good things" goes on, but you get the idea! Welcome and good luck with "your plan" Hank
