If you happen to have a veggie steamer, this would be a great way to cook up some fresh filleted fish. Throw on some spices and BAM !! Fresh fish without the fat!!
first rub a little salt on teh fish gently and after a while wash it off that it doesn't smell ......then leave it to dry on paper or towerl. whatever you prefer ..once it is totally dry then mix lemon juice and seasoning in a bowl. then give little cuts on teh whole fish and put teh mixture on it. leave it to marinate and then whenever you need to cook..... preheat teh oven and then put it to bake.. after 45 minutes it is ready to eat simple and yummy. :)
Even if you're not a fan of Jamie Oliver, he has some wonderful recipes for roasting fish that are simply amazing and flavorful. I really recommend his cookbook. While all the recipes are easy on the calories, most of them utilize a lot of fresh herbs and seasonings that have a lot of health benefits. It's probably against copyright laws, but I'll look up one of his recipes and post it for you in a couple days.
Ok.. I won't infringe on any copyrights.. I love to cook, and Cooking Light posts their recipes for free on their website, so here's a good one, if you love that crispy breaded fish you get at the local seafood restaurants, give this low cal version a try. It looks pretty easy too. Beer-Batter Baked Fish INGREDIENTS: 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 4 (6-ounce) orange roughy or other lean white fish fillets Vegetable cooking spray 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup beer 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 1 egg yolk 2 egg whites (at room temperature) INSTRUCTIONS: Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon flour and salt over 1 side of fillets. Place fillets, flour sides up, in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Combine 1/2 cup flour and pepper in a medium bowl. Gradually add beer, oil, and egg yolk, stirring with a wire whisk until blended. Beat egg whites at high speed of a mixer until stiff peaks form. Gently fold egg whites into beer mixture, and spread evenly over fillets. Bake at 500 degrees for 10 minutes.
