[b:eadafbf673]Hi all. I just joined this website tonight and so far I LOVE it. Well, I boo'boo'd tonight for the first time in a month and boy am I regretting it!!! I know this is going to sound completely NOT true...but it is!! I woke up this morning and my love handles were gone, like they've been gone for about three days....I have, errr....HAD a waist this morning. Well anyway, I was on the computer playing games and someone started talking about Pizza Hut. Hubby was gone this weekend soooooooo I said to myself aww.....a few pieces won't hurt right? So I called Pizza Hut and ordered a Veggie Lover's pizza. WELL WELL WELL wouldn't you know it. I get up to use the restroom this evening and decided to peek at my new waistline in the mirror, woohoo.......but, instead of a woohoo I let out a BLEEP instead. MY LOVEHANDLES ARE BACK in just part of a day???? To me that seems completely ridiculously impossible but I SWEAR to ya'll it's the truth. What do they do? Lay underneath the surface of your skin and the first fatty thing you plunk in your stomach they come back for revenge or something? I about passed out! So I did sit-ups, and crunches til my gut hurt, and....they're still there. That's my Oh Woe Is Me story for the day. :-(( [/b:eadafbf673]


Hey, if they came back in a day, they should be gone by tomorrow. Nothing to worry about.


Ahh Al...you were right!! LOL How strange! I woke up and they were, well, sort of gone again! But I've learned my lesson.....no more pizza!! LOL thx.

Hiya...haha, I only have to sniff a pizza or some chocolate (my weakness!) and my love handles seem to get bigger! Good on you for getting on to the exercises! Hey you don't have to go without pizza if you make a low fat alternative with pitta/naan bread as a base and low fat toppings :) I know it's not quite the same but you can get really creative with flavours...I love grilled chicken and a low fat yoghurt sauce spiced up with a dash tobasco! i like to make pizza with BBQ sauce, grilled chix, green peppers and onions. Low fat mozzarella. it's yummy!


i can't do without pizza either. i make mine using lite english muffins, with a little sauce and some reduced fat mozzarella cheese (i use those cheese string sticks and split one stick between the 2 muffin halves). then i broil it for 4 minutes and it really satisfies my pizza craving. each half is just 1.5 WW points! :) stay strong! those commercials for foods are killers! - joan


I adore pizza - and pizza adores putting fat on my body! :lol: Now that I'm dieting, it's tough to give up pizza. However... I found that those little Weight Watchers or Lean Cuisine pizzas really help. They satiate that desire for pizza and are pretty tasty (IMO). However, there are times I want a bit more. I dare not order from a pizzeria though, but I will make my own. I'll buy a ready made low-fat crust. Then I'll get pizza sauce which is naturally fat-free and usually very low calorie. I'll smother the crust with the sauce (literally using the whole bottle). Then I'll sprikle on just a touch of low-fat cheese. And I do mean a touch - just to get a hint of that cheese flavor. I call it a "red pizza" (as opposed to "white pizza" which has no sauce). How does it taste? I, of course, love it. The hint of cheese is enough for me and the sauce is what really makes a pizza anyway. So I'm full, satiated my desire for pizza and I still ate healthy. As for your love handles... I'm sure the fact that you ate just gave the illusion of them suddenly being there - but they weren't really there, just a reflection of your now full stomach. Unfortunately, there are no exercises that will reduce fat in a given area. So doing stomach crunches, while definitely a good thing, doesn't necessarily get rid of the fat at your stomach. But it will build muscle there, which helps tone and shape the area. If you keep doing them and dieting, I'm sure that in another month or so, you can have Pizza Hut without your love handles suddenly appearing again. :lol:
