they look cool but im not in good enough shape to work out :)
Balance balls are pretty cool actually. I bought one about a year ago for 30 bucks, a definite must have.. It's challenging, as a lot of excercises that you can do require "Balance" They nice thing is, you can use it for a lot of different excercises.. and after your done, you can sit on it!!! hehe
I use it in all the classes that I take at the gym. It's awesome cause you have to use your "core" to balance yourself, so even though you may be doing benchpresses or something, you're still strengthening your abs and your rear. Highly recommended!! :D
Thank you for your replies. I decided to go ahead and buy one. I love using it to do crunches! Not a bad deal for a little pocket change!!
I have one at home, but don't use if much other than stretching my back (which feels really good). Can anyone recommend a site with some good, basic exercises? - Joan
I like doing pushups. Balance yourself at the midsection, and you know the rest.. Push up with your arms. If you read Shape magazine they always have a nice little section with exercises that you can do with a balance ball.
thanks for the tips! i'll dust off the ball. ;) - joan
Hello! I have a good one for your inner thighs. Find yourself a nice comfy spot on the floor. Put the balance ball between your knees and squueze! I do 3 sets of 15. I have noticed a bit of difference on the inside of my thighs from doing this a couple of times a week. 8)
souns like a winner, QB. thanks for posting. - joan
Heres another one. You'll need a blank wall in order to do this one. Stand facing away from the wall, put your balance ball at about waist level. Bend at the knees to a 90 degree angle, hold for a moment and then return to starting position. This is called a squat. I try to do 3 sets of 15 3 times a week. This is a good one for your legs and behind! Hope that you enjoy!!
