After about 3 months of trying low carb diets I'm starting to think they are mostly BS. I have been severely stalled for about a month after losing twenty pounds. Plus I don't feel right. I am sort of tired. I would much rather eat fruit and some other lean things than eating more sausage. Anyone have any similar thoughts?

I tend to agree with you. I am trying the Southbeach Diet now but after a week I am tired of eating only protein, cheese and vegetables. I am trying to lose some quick weight here. I have had success with Weightwatchers where you can pretty much eat anything as long as you count points. I lost 27 pounds with that but got tired of counting points so am trying Southbeach diet.

i will third this comment. since i started working out a month ago i find i dont like the high fat high protein foods as much. i feel a little draggy much of the time. the best diet i ever did in my life was i ate chicken caesar salad every night for months. i defintely lost weight and pretty fast. something light for lunch and caesar salad for dinner. boring but effective.

One of the points of the low carb diets is that you don't have to be as strict once you've lost some weight. You will be able to re-introduce carbs in as time goes on.

You just need some patience and an open mind! Give it more time!

Was it because you couldn't stand the thought of eating only "high protein" food for the rest of your days?

Atkins has some wonderful "snack food" when you have the urge to cheat. Believe me, it has been my saving grace! I work graveyard and day shifts throughout the week and my body goes nuts sometimes! I believe the line is called "Indulgence". They have everything from mock peanut butter cups to "Snicker's" Bars. It's fantastic. I find that when I plateau, I increase my excersise. That seems to be the key with this lifestyle: excersie, excersise, excersise. Not to mention, it helps keep the urge to cheat down.

i have saw some thing they call "keto cookies" anyone have any info on these?

yeah. the keto cookies are purty good. they lack in sugar, of course, but if you slam some peanut butter on top you are looking at a pretty tasty treat :)
