hi i just went on a low carb diet i have got anything to read yet just going by what im told if your on these diets what are some thing that you can drink besides diet drinks and water

Low carb doesn't have to mean high fat. It's just a lot of high protein foods are high in fat also. Just be selective.
So are you going to try low fat, low carb? My guess would be pork loin, fish chicken, eggs, veggies, shrimp, lobster, clams, turkey (white meat), low fat dairy, strawberries, blueberries, salad with lemon juice or vinigar as dressing, some cuts of beef aren't to bad on fat. And maybe some oatmeal every now and then. Wow that doesn't sound too bad I wonder if I could live off that! I'm also in search of a good diet plan. My present diet of chocolate, (cakes, cookies, drinks and yes candy) isn't working. I'm confused on what I think will work for me long term. Weight Watcher always left me feeling hungry, Atkins gives me horriable taste in my mouth and bad breath. I could not stick to either of these diets to get the results I need which is a weight loss of about 55 pounds.
the foods you described are actually a very good overall diet.
Hi momma-dog, How do you feel about eating light? I find calorie counting to be a pretty easy and effective way to lose weight. It's sort of old-fashioned but it works. There's an old book I found called "Fit for Life" which has a decent diet plan that includes eating 70% high water content foods. Truth is, I feel much healthier since I've been using the basic principles. Hope this Helps, Hen
