Well, I'm glad to have found this site to share my experiences and advice, and also hope to receive some advice in return.
I am 25 and weigh about 140. I was at 156 a few months ago. I tried a low-carb diet, which worked well in its way. I lost 15 pounds with a struggle, but the low vitamin intake and too much fat really slowed down my energy levels. I felt crappy. So now, I want to lose 10 more and am finding it impossible. I need to try something different. But this time I will try the healthy approach. Lots of veggies, fruits, grains and EXERCISE. Once it becomes a habit, it's really fun! I am having fun with workout videos and cycling, and I am trying to locate a good inexpensive gym for aerobics and water sports. The problem is, I have my old dieting habits that get in the way. I am burning a lot more, and need to know how to eat to satisfy my hunger and keep my energy level up without overeating or eating the wrong foods. I have read up on nutrition, just to meet a whole lot of articles that contradict each other. Low calore, mid calorie, high calorie, eat pastas, dont eat pastas...hard to know who to believe.
Any Advice is welcome. I really don't know much about health and nutrition, thought someone might be able to help me out.
Best of luck to those of you who are dieting. This was my first attempt at it, and I am doing pretty good!

im on the same page as you. i dont like the low carb approach. intuitively i cant imagine why fruit is bad for you. the diet is too limited. im going with a new approach. i think exercise is the key anyway.
hello and welcome!
i'm with bigboy. modifications implementing better eating habits and exercise (in my opinion anyhow) are the key to losing weight and keeping it off for good. what good is a diet if when you go "off" of it you gain all the weight back?
glad to know you!
