hey guys, i am a brand new user to this forum.
i am big into weight lifting, and ive built a lot of muscle over the past year, and now i think its time that i lose some fat..
im going to be 16 years old on the day after christmas.. im in the 10th grade.. last year at the end of ninth grade i was 263 pounds, and now i am about 213 pounds so i have done a good job so far of putting on muscle/losing weight.
now i want to put my main focus on losing fat ( i dont mind if i lose a little bit of muscle) and i wanted to know if this plan was good.
im going to eat small amounts of food about every 2-3 hours, and im going to work out to maintain my muscle as best i can about 3 times a week. im going to to 30 minutes on the treadmill before breakfast, and 60 after dinner. i will also do sprints 2 times a week. please comment on this plan.. thanks! :D
Yeah, it sounds ok.
hello!
having a healthy attitude towards a healthy body is a good place to start.
make sure that you are eating healthful foods when you have your small meals. be sure that you aren't stressing out your body with excessive exercise. listen to your body to avoid injury. if your legs hurt from an earlier workout, maybe consider skipping a later day leg workout.
the key to most things in life is moderation!
i agree with what is being said, and to maintain muscle while trying to lose weight is wasy to do if you do lighter toning type exercises. Also, lifting weights is really important if you are trying to lose weight and gain, or maintain, muscle. Muscle burns fat throghout the day, so you lose weight faster, but it is very healthy.
Good Luck!!
