Those huge muscular women you see have been weight training very heavely for years. Belive me, you will not get that unless you want it. The best thing to do is a lot of cardio, and light weight training. Don't go trying to bench a large amount, but do light weights. If you belong to a gym, they have a lot of great classes that combine cardio with weight lifting, and that definetly helps with those lean muscles. Good Luck!!

Hello everyone, I am finally on my way to losing the weight I gained during pregnancy and after having my son two years ago. I have a long way to go, I need to lose about 80 lbs. and have lost 20 so far. I have some general questions about working out. I enjoy working out in that I am eager to be done being fat and I like the way I feel afterwards, but I need some advice. I am concerned that if I keep exercising as I go, I may develop big or stocky muscles where the fat used to be..if I am doing the wrong exercises or whatever. Is this crazy? What is the best way of exercising now that I can develop long, lean muscles (Not stocky thick muscles)? Should I start with mostly aerobics with some weight training now and then as I get smaller start evening out the weights/aerobics mix? I would love to hear your advice! I have a chance to really shape my body now as I am losing and want to try to do it the right way. Thanks!
