New to this web site, and glad to be a member. I am currently trying to get down to 120 from my start weight last week of 190. I am on a low calorie diet from 750 to 1000 cals a day. I have lost 6 pounds in the last week with the water guzzling and low cals and am currently at 184. My weight climbed high during my pregnancy as I had several issues with my pregnancy that kept me inactive and sedintary. I have been this heavy before with my son who is now 10. And I lost all the weight in 6 months and was back down to a size 3 from a 16. My mother is a dietician so I know quite a bit about nutrition, I do not generally go for this low carb diet trend and tend to be a Rice Diet follower. I take vitamins and take good care of myself. :) I would like to meet and hear from others who are losing and fighting the battle of the bulge. Drop me a line anytime! If you start to notice anything bad happining to you then I recomend that you up the cals to around 1200 a day. Thank you for the replies, yes I do feel great about the loss so far, down to 182 this AM. The cals aren't a real big concern right now as I started with a 2 day cleansing fast of low cal liquids and no food, so my body thinks its geting enough at this point. I try to do alot of body tricking during my weight loss, one day a soup regimine, one day rice only, things like this keep my metabolism burning cals, as long as I stay below 1200 I will lose the weight rather rapidly. Should I stall I, go on a short 1 day fast and do liquids the next day, usually drop off 3 lbs each time I do this. During the first 40 lbs I don't work out except for sit ups and leg lifts, quick reps..stuff like that, no real hard exercise, don't want to add more muscle under the fat, As I'm packing 80 extra pounds my body has plenty of "muscle" from that weight carrying.. I will post in my journal every day, stay tuned, when I get to 150 I will post a pic..I have none of me at the heaviest of 190, I do get camera shy at this weight.. :P
