hi lou, its tough for everyone to lose weight so you are not alone in that. just go slow and try to stick with whatever plan you decide on. when you have 100 pounds to lose its easier to look at it like 5 different 20 pound steps you have to go down. just concentrate on losing you first 20 right off the bat. experiment with what approach works best for you and make sure that its something you can do for the long term. welcome aboard
Hey lou! You're not the only one here with that much excess baggage. I for one was 110 lbs over a few weeks ago, then I found this site and now I only have 100 lbs to go! 120 lbs here I come! hehe Anyway, this is the perfect place to come to to get tips, encouragement, a pick up from a bad day, or just to vent your frustration at the world around you. And if you REALLY want this then you have to make yourself stick to a diet and exercise plan, as there is no "quick fix" for weight loss. There are certain diets where you don't have to give up the foods you like, for example the Atkins Diet (yuck, I'm a vegetarian) and there are plenty of people here knowledgable about these diets. And as for an exercise plan, it only takes 3 weeks to deveop a new habit, so try walking half a mile a day for three weeks, even if its only to work or school or whatever. After those three weeks, you'll have it down and can start doing other things too!!
