..as 5 to 10 percent of your body weight will significantly reduce your risks for diabetes, and high blood pressure? So just another good reason to stay on track. Even if you can't see yourself in a pair of size 4 jeans, losing just a little bit can help your health.

Yeah that is true. I had high blood presure when i was 220. Though I still have a good deal more weight to lose, my bp is back in the normal range.[/color:00145df288] [u:00145df288][b:00145df288]Kiara[/b:00145df288][/u:00145df288][/color:00145df288]

That is good news, Kiara. I'm happy to hear that your health is improving! Did you have to take medication for it?

No I did not need meds. I talked to the doctor about it and told him that I was going to lose weight. He said that he would not put me on meds if i got my bp checked weekly and if it started going down as i lost weight. He gave me only three months to get it down to a healthy level in which case i did.[/color:48ad3e78fe] [u:48ad3e78fe][b:48ad3e78fe]Kiara[/b:48ad3e78fe][/u:48ad3e78fe][/color:48ad3e78fe]

I'm glad that you didn't have to go on medications to cure your blood pressure, Kiara. I hate to think of being on medication for a lifetime, especially for something I can control.

10 percent doesn't seem like a lot.. If you break your weight loss goal into 10 percent increments, the 100% might seem easier to get to.

Diamond, I love you :) If you look at it that way, I've already lost almost 10%. That's a really uplifting way to look at it.
