i have never owned or used a juicer :( jack la lane always has some good recipes on his commercial, and it seems that the only limitation is your imagination. have you used it yet? do you like it?
i've never seen any jack la lane commercials, but i've seen some of his stuff on the internet. so far, i've mostly been just experimenting with whatever i have in the house and whatever sounds like it might go together. carrots, royal gala apples, and ginger taste wonderful together (the carrots give a bit of a funny texture, but i think i'll get used to it), but my favourite combination so far is pink grapefruit and bartlett pear. celery is bitter if used in anything but small amounts, so cucumber works better to water the juices down a little. the two things i don't like about my juicer are the amount of waste it creates and cleaning it. as of yet, i've only made soup out of the waste (carrot, apple, and ginger soup is great - add lots of veggies, water, and a touch of coconut milk. put in the blender when you're done for a nice, creamy texture), but i need to learn how to make decent sewer cookies. i'm really pleased with this purchase even though it was the cheapest available, and recommend it to everyone (i think it's a hamilton beach brand one). i know someone who is still using almost daily a juicer he bought in 1977!!
then it stretches the buck to boot! sounds like you have some really good recipes already whipped up! i would make some tropical fruit drink if i had a juicer. papaya, pineapple, kiwi, bananas, coconut, mango would be a nice weird tropical mix! if i happen to catch that infomercial i'll post up a recipe. sunday morning is about the time they play it..
