So I've always "struggled" with weight, meaning I was always one of the "big kids." I was never really FAT, tho I often thought I was. In highschool, I got down to a healthy size 13 pants, size medium shirt (my bone structure makes it such that my hips, without any fat, will NOT get into pants smaller than a 12 or 13). I was also a three sport athlete and didn't eat much at all (I just didn't have the TIME). I ate enough that I had pretty good energy, and that was about it. Anyway, since my senior year, I dropped down to one sport, I play it less often, and I was put on medication that made me gain weight. I got really depressed, had more free time, and started eating a LOT. I jumped from 150 in March of '01 to 190 in August of '02. Freshman year of college my weight wavered between 180 and 190, but over the summer it started going up again. By the Fall of '03 I was at 200, and now I'm at 222. I've decided to do a (semi) low-cal diet. I'm gonna try to stay between 11 and 1300 cals a day with lots of small meals as opposed to bigger ones. I like to eat thru the day, especially things like popcorn and chocolate, so I've been doing research to find out what stuff will satisfy my cravings, give me nutrients and energy, and be low-cal. I thought this would be hard, but I actually really surprised myself with the diet I created. I've already got about 5 small meals created and they only come to 670 cals. Now, I just need (lots) of help with an exercise regime. I hate gyms - they're boring to me and I can't afford to take any classes. Any advice on exercise would be GREATLY appreciated :)

If you have a pair of walking shoes, walking might be a great exercise to start with. Once you get your endurance built back up, adding a bit of jogging or running would be an option. What sports were you involved in in school?

I can already jog, lol. I'm big and out of shape, but still play lacrosse in college. In highschool I played Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, and Field Hockey. Had to give up Ice Hockey because of a bad knee. In college, I gave up Field Hockey because of time conflicts with Lacrosse. I got out of shape really badly because I started playing goalie. Now I'm back on the field and it's embarrassing to still be a decent player but not be able to keep up. Thanks for the tips tho :)
