I think that it can be done. A healthy weight loss is about 2 to 3 lbs a week. So given that most months are 4 weeks and a couple of days that should be 8lbs if you only lose 2 a week but with an active life and a 1000 cal a day diet the two extra pounds should be easy. A warning though. Don't let your calories get to low. If it does than your body starts to think that you are starving it so it will start to store fat when you eat making you heavier. I don't think that's too unrealistic - an average healthy weightloss, I'm told and read over and over again, is one to two pounds a week, but just for a month I don't see that a ten pound loss would be too difficult. Good luck!
