Do you feel healthy?[/quote:32a085e225] I dont think maintaining my 700 calorie diet is healthy. And it's not. Losing weight this way is not appropriate and is dangerous to your body. Unfortuently, I had no choice.
Hi Cormle85! I don't think people know much about gastroparesis (or weight maintenance for that matter). I think most of us are here just trying to lose weight. But here's my 2 cents worth: If you just add the appropriate amount of calories for your activity level, you'll be fine. You won't gain a bunch overnight (just like I can't lose it overnight!). Here's a sample meal plan of about 1800 calories: [b:0ea5f07579]Breakfast[/b:0ea5f07579] skim milk 1/2 cup cream of wheat 1/2 cup sugar 2 tsp orange juice 1/2 cup white toast 1 slice margarine 1 tsp jelly 1 Tbsp [b:0ea5f07579]Morning snack[/b:0ea5f07579] low-fat yogurt 1/2 cup [b:0ea5f07579]Lunch:[/b:0ea5f07579] tuna fish 2 oz low-fat mayonnaise 2 Tbsp white bread 2 slices canned peaches 1/2 cup Gatorade 1/2 cup [b:0ea5f07579]Afternoon snack[/b:0ea5f07579] Sprite 1/2 cup chocolate pudding 1/2 cup [b:0ea5f07579]Dinner[/b:0ea5f07579] baked chicken 2 oz white rice 1/2 cup cooked beets 1/2 cup dinner roll 1 skim milk 1/2 cup margarine 2 tsp [b:0ea5f07579]Evening snack[/b:0ea5f07579] gingerale 1/2 cup ice milk 1/2 cup pretzels 2 If you gain a few pounds, then cut back. Good luck to you! Jen
