ANYONE INTERESTED IN PILATES? WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU HAD? HOW QUICKLY? THANKS! TAMA http://groups.msn.com/Pilatesweightloss/homepage S: 145 NOW: 143

Just started this week, so nothing definitive. Had a great time though!

i'm interested in pilates also. i'm thinking of starting that up on tuesday and just alternating it with my taebo. i'll tell you if i get some results...they say in ten workouts you can feel the difference, in 20 workouts you can see the difference, and in 30 workouts- everyone will see the difference... it's's quite motivating along with the huge mess of success stories on the winsor pilates site. the before and after pics always help me get motivated...

I used to do Pilates and it's a good workout. It gives you lots of flexibility. I was surprised at the results I got because, when you're doing it, it doesn't seem like you would get such good results becasue you don't work very hard at it. The only reason I don't do Pilates anymore is because the tape broke! Now I do aerobic and cardio exercises until I can get another tape.

I love pilates... It gives you good core strength, but takes some time to really see results (about three-four weeks). I was doing it at my local gym until my wrist injury (I posted about this) has prevented me from doing it. There are lots of great tapes out there. I would suggest going to a class of some kind with an instructor to get some good feedback on your form. I've found that it's one of those exercises where the slightest variation in how you are doing it can make a lot of difference. Let the instructor know that you are new and ask for feedback. Enjoy...

I saw an advertisement for the Zone pilates system today. It looked sort of neat. Didn't seem to be too difficult to do, either. Has anyone used this?
