there is a small percentage of muscle that you'll lose no matter what diet you're on when you lose weight. but what happened with you moight be more water weight loss and not fat/muscle loss because cutting out junk food also cuts down on the sodium in most cases. it's ok- you lose a lot while beginning with weight loss- like the first week or two, but after that you should pretty much even out. if you continue losing at this rate however- take a look and make sure you're eating enough...oh and eat a lot of protien like beans and nuts if you're scared of muscle loss also some free weights should help...
