i'm not going to say it's -impossible- to lose 11 lbs in a week, because a friend of mine just dropped 9 lbs in a week, but anything that much is usually a fluke. it's virtually impossible to keep up any type of 11lb/wk loss. the healthiest yet highest weekly loss to expect is 2 lbs; if you want to venture into the unhealthy range, 3-5lbs. this is with regular exercise of at least 1-2 hours a day and a very reduced calorie diet (1000-1200 or fewer). honestly...i don't think any special occasion is worth risking your health over; extremely reduced calorie diets can have negative effects on your mood and body, especially on your metabolism (mine went on holiday four years ago and hasn't come back). good luck, but please try to stay healthy...or at the very least, realistic. 11lb/wk loss is too much to expect.

I have lost an average of 4 pounds a week for the 5 weeks and I am suffering no adverse health effects. I am adhering to a 750 calorie diet and combining this with cardio and strengh training.

(5 weeks isn't the long run.) you can lose more weight than 2lbs/wk and do it healthily, of course; it just depends on your body type, hell, i have fluctuated in the range of 3-5lbs loss/gain per DAY. 750 calorie diet may help you lose weight at first, but that has even worse effects on your metabolism; for starters, it's in the starvation range, which has very adverse effects on your body and on your metabolism.
